Aikidoman - 2009-12-09 1:02 PM Anyone use a cookie press?  Got one a couple years back.  Fun, but sort of a PITA.  It takes skillz

I love it!  The key is to make sure the dough is REALLY cold every time you press it.  Otherwise, they get too melty and stick to the press.

Nice tip!  I was getting 'gummygun' for sure...

They make a medicine for that....

My glaze gets a bit thick too.  I need some more water.

Ooh... got to bring the hammer down on a research protocol  this morning in IRB.  awesomeness.  don't be bringing your stupid crap all up in here.

I'm always curious how the IRBs make their decisions.

I love being on mine... very fascinating.  Every one is different.

My interactions with them and the IACUC are not usually so positive.  Probably because I'm on the other side of the table.

We invite researchers to our meetings for their protocols, to help expedite questions and issues if there are any.

It's never meant to be confrontational... but sometimes there are important discussions to be had.

Oh Ye Olde Lord of little faith, how doth thy garden grow? Tis nobler to preach the word of the god our lord, wence thee ist tempted by thine enemies? Come forth hither and rest thee upon this noble steed, on this day of days, this Rice Krispins Day. Peace be unto you ast thou entereth the valley of the shadow of death.

Done!

I'm here. Not a whole lot to say, though.

Oh, but I did get a job interview! Not sure if it will pan out, and not sure of the whole package (salary, benefits, etc). But at least it's something.

We'll see. Depending on the details, it may not be what I want/need. In terms of the position itself, it sounds like it'd be a good fit. But it's a little far from where I am (with a potentially bad commute, and finding a new place to live that's the right price, situation, etc could take awhile), and not sure of the salary.

Part of me feels like I shouldn't be irresponsible, and I should just take the first thing I am offered. But part of me feels like I should take advantage of the situation I am to try to find something that's a good fit all around. NOt necessarily the "perfect job", there really isn't any such thing for most people, but if the circumstances suck, I'll only be up and looking for another job within a year.

I can't see you sporting a white collar.  Just doesn't work.  And there's that tongue and rocker thing that would just stun the congregation.
