Hope the diagnosis is a good one! Eh, it was what I expected. Morten's Neuroma. Also took x-rays to make sure I don't have a fracture. Referral for the foot doc. I'll head that way next week and hopefully be on the road to recovery soon! How do they treat that? From the sound of it, I'll start out with a series on cortisone injections. Hopefully that will solve my problem. If not, surgery to remove the nerve. I'm hoping the shots work! |

Extreme Veteran 494 Morris County, NJ | Subject: RE: Team B - April Challenge serendipity - 2010-04-09 5:08 PM Thank you for the advice. I have a hard time holding back, because I really love this yoga class. I guess I just didn't have enough in reserve for two workouts. I suppose next time I'll just have to be a grown-up and use better judgement. For the record, I hate being a grown-up!jtrezza - 2010-04-09 2:01 PM Happy Friday Team. Completed AM yoga and swim. Ironically, it was a particularly tough yoga class with really active poses. I was panting, broke a sweat and actually fell down. I was completely wiped when I got to the pool. I had nothing left in the tank for my swim--from YOGA!!! I am training for my first half iron distance race, and I can't even survive a yoga class. This is not a good omen. Hope everyone else has greater success today. You know you don't have to listen to the yoga teacher, right? Take breaks in child pose and save some energy for your swims. The key in yoga is maintaining a slow, deep breath. If you can't do that then you need to back off alittle. (Your teacher should be telling you this.) It's just one workout. Take a deep breath, let it go, and get ready for tomorrow's workout! |

Now, you are having extended power outages. Do you think it's me? If anyone on my challenge team gets struck by lightning next month, I think I might have to be polite and not sign up for more challenges! LOL Glad your power is back on--have a great ride tomorrow. We had a wicked wind storm yesterday! Our power was out all yesterday afternoon, evening, night and this morning. I'm glad this isn't a chatty team because I would have been left in the dust! Tomorrow I plan to go for a long bike ride if the wind is light. |

Champion 10742 Ames, IA | Subject: RE: Team B - April Challenge Donuts + running = BAD IDEA! I kept all my donuts down but feel like poo right now. I ate 10 donuts during the race, but it took me longer to eat them than the time bonuses that I gained from them. Run time: 18:43 Finish time: ~31:00 Donut Adjusted time: ~21:00 Would've be much better off not eating a single donut. From what I heard they were much bigger than last years |

Master 1734 On a lake in the Adirondacks in NY | Subject: RE: Team B - April Challenge Training off day for me, which was fine because it was cold and *snowing* this morning. I'm not sure how it can be 80 degrees on Wednesday and snowing on Saturday. That's a bit extreme even for here. I spent the afternoon painting the living room. Walls are all primed and ready for new color tomorrow. The walls were really boring. The people before us painted the entire first floor the same taupe color. Walls, ceilings, everything. Bleh. I need color. |

We are thinking about putting on a charity run -- a "Fat Fanny 5K" - how did your donut thing work? Did you have to buy the donuts? (I'm trying to figure out how to make a bunch of money for a Children's Advocacy Center -- helps kids and non-offending family memebers that are victims of sexual abuse.) |

I am also doing a return to practice nursing course so had to drag my sorry self to school. Last week this week before placement so have been super busy. I did a re evaluation of my goals and have entered them on the spreadsheet. I hope it's not too late. I did manage to get some runs in while I was away and am now ready to do some lite training while my cold is easing. I hope everyone is enjoying their training. Tammie |

I am still on track for my goals. Yesterday I spent all day (8 AM to 5 PM) walking around a huge car swap meet. cars, parts, etc..... I was about as tired as I was after my tri sprint last weekend. Maybe I could log the walking, but it wasn't fast paced...LOL Today is church, then taking oldest DD and her husband to lunch for her birthday. Then hopefully over to youngest DD and SonIL to see our new grandbaby (3 weeks old). Then if the weather cooperates, possibly a bike ride. Have a great Sunday everyone! |
