Morning everyone.

I've been pretty competitive since at least high school. I don't think I'm so competitive that it interferes with me enjoying things. I'm learning to compete more with myself and not worry about comparing to other people, which is making me a happier person.

Wow.  You're just so well-adjusted...  What the heck are you doing here, hanging out with us miscreants and deviants?

You miscreants and deviants make me look good.

I did say trying.  Doesn't always work. I'm just trying to stay ahead of chirunner in posts.

It's always just a thread away... maybe a 'will running one day a week make me faster?'

Or something about how much you need to squat before you tell your parents you signed up to run a 10K.

How many meters of fly should I be able to swim before I bike a century?

That depends on if you're wearing Newtons, and can run with a cadence of exactly 180.

And how much weight-lifting you've done (or plan to do) prior to said century...

Rynamite - 2007-10-24 9:41 AM But what if it turns out to be a girlie-man sport? Do you still tell your parents?

It's pretty easy to hide things from them (they live 1000 miles away).  The real question is do I tell my husband?

Nah.  He'll just whine about it, like any real man.

Guy night before marathon + marathon = biathlon

I thought the biathlon would be you and Beth, then a marathon.

Nice!

Morning TAN!

Morning TAN.

I hear there's a rumor swirling about someone lifting weights while eating bikini sauce but they're not telling their parents because they're girlie men.

And such.

Oh one our friends' sons got to hang out with Hannah Montana last night before and after her show. I have only one question -- who the f*** is Hannah Montana and why are people paying thousands of dollars to see her???
