MICHAEL PHELPS was the youngest swimmer to set a world record, at age 15 yrs 9 months. He co-holds the record for winning the most medals at a single Olympics. Next year at age 23 he will be heading to his third Olympic Games; he is currently a student and assistant swim coach at the University of Michigan.

I made it through 10 x25 breast stroke kicking without giving up in frustration cause it was soooooo painfully slow. I am also within 2 swims of the challenge goal Actually felt like that crazy single arm with pull buoy drill is getting some results too so there's a lot of swim happiness today. Hope a few members of this team have time to hit a pool today |

ERIK VENDT swam for USC from 2000-2003 and assistant coached his fifth year. He is a multiple Olympic medalist (2000, 2004) and just won the 1650 free at November's Short Course Nationals. He rocks the house at individual medley and long-distance free.

(Sometimes I'm all about survival mode.) On the much more positive side, Erik Vendt is so adorable! I mean, totally hot, but he also looks like the sweetest thing. Especially with all those toys!
