Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!Back in the land of the living. Wednesay was ROUGH! I am probably 80% right now and will definitely be racing Sunday or at least participating Can't let Justin and Fatty have all the glory! Not a fan of the forced taper but I'm glad it didn't hit later and I had a chance to get better. For the record I am a HUGE fan of Emergen'C, zinc and probiotics! Thanfully I had everything on hand but the zinc which Ken picked up for me. I was able to make a pretty speedy recovery considering how bad I felt Wednesday. Staying hydrated has been a part time job but I think it is paying off. I'll be glad when food tastes good again. Any other time I'd be glad for the forced diet but I know I need nutrition for the race. Ken, the girls and I will be spending Saturday night at Justine's house or as my girls call him Mr.JustinThreeGirls. He lives a lot closer to the race and I have to turn my bike in Saturday so after I pick up my packet and get marked we will head to his place for dinner and hopefully some good sleep. The only drawback is since Ken and Justine are both volunteering we have to be on site at 4:30am. I think I'll stay in the truck and have them wake me up after their volunteer meeting. I think I will take today off again to recover and hope to get in the pool tomorrow. So very excited for Eric and Betsy - I cannot wait to see some pictures! Love Emma's new bike! Dan, goodness gracious, I can only hope for some sort of heat wave from hades to melt the snow! I HATE the cold and can't imagine doing a tri under those conditions. I am sure your RR will be interesting. |
