Hi everyone,

I've been getting a lot of questions about penalties for the losers.  The two teams with the lowest overall percentages for the month will have to change their avatar to something with a flower (April showers bring May flowers...).  If you are on a losing team, it doesn't matter what your percentages are, just that you are on one of the teams with the lowest percentage.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Yesterday, I ran 30 minutes after work.  It was still raining.  I hope it's finally done and I get back to riding outside this weekend.  My swim camp was canceled for this afternoon, so I went to the pool this morning.  I was really looking forward to the river swim, which is kind of a surprise.  Unfortunately, the river levels are way too high because we've had almost 6 inches of rain since Sunday.

Was looking at my training schedule and it'll take me right up to April 30th to complete.  However, to aleviate any "May flowers" on my part, I'll finish everything by Tuesday the 29th.

Have that new song "Rise Above This" in my head; heard it at lunch again today while running errands.  Don't know who sings it, but wow, I couldn't turn it up loud enough!  (Yes, my windows were up.)

Well, I am almost there in all categories. If weather holds I will come in with a big surplus of miles on the bike. With a 2.5 mile run today, I only need 1 more run to meet that goal--may be able to get in 2 runs. Swim, I did 1500 today, so only about 2.5k to go there. A couple more ab sessions and I will hit that goal too.

I also went ahead and signed up, again, for the Chicago Triathlon. I wanted it to be my first one last year but life and injuries ruined training. Here's hoping I can do it this summer.

Have a good one.....

I did my 75 mile bike/3 mile run brick today. I'm toast...and so tired. I'm supposed to swim but think it wouldn't be a good idea as falling asleep in the pool wouldn't be good.

IM training is long and tiring.

Did 2 strength training workouts today that makes it 8 out of 15 did a 2000 yard swim bringing that up to 5800 out of 7040 yards and 2 10 minute bike rides today (real easy because my knee is swelling up and killing me. but the physical therapist said that the more I strengthen the muscles before surgery the faster I will heal.) by the way my bike goal is totally smashed so the rest of the biking is icing on the cake mmmmmmmmmm icing so good!

Easy spins on trainer this evening since couldn't get out during the day, and swim in the middle.  Riding after swimming seems to have helped clear my sinuses.  Anyway, it's 10:30 and time for dinner.  Last chance tomorrow for a long run before May's marathon - trying to stay motivated thinking about Boston and how cool it would be to qualify someday.

Happy Thursday everybody!!!

May not have been just you - I was shut out too - but I was still getting inspires from others, so maybe it was just you and me.

I'm over 70% on all, lagging a little behind but will be 100+% on all by next Wednesday night.

I will be over 110% on swimming with next Tuesday's swim class. Are we able to donate any distance to folks or do they need valid emergency reason for donations?  I'm just over 100% for bike and run so there's wiggle room for me to keep going.

No donating extras.  The 10% extra you did will be enough to help out the team and people who didn't make their goal.

On the training thread, quite a few people are reporting problems.  Stopped working for me last night at midnight - that's what I get for not going to bed on time I guess
