Hello all! Great job everyone! Count me in for 30 min Max. I'm hoping for a 10 pound weight loss but due to poor food and beverage choices I'm afraid the weigh in will be sad . I will celebrate 7 straight days on the trainer and make wiser food choice this week! Gonna be positive!

Well, I didn't expect it, since I didn't make any dietary changes except only eating 4 peices of pizza instead of five, but I managed to lose 2lbs.  I don't forsee much more weight loss since I'm well within my weight range, but I can hope to get a little help catching up to the front-runners with a little extra weight loss.

Same here.  Lost a pound, which is fine, since I'm not looking to get down to my "tri weight" just yet.  I figure 60-80 mins. on the trainer a day, just get back to consistently working out every day.

15 minutes on the trainer after my swim. Came home from the pool and hopped on the trainer in my swimsuit!  I knew if I didn't get on the trainer this morning it wasn't going to happen tonight. There are way too many holiday obligations this week. Thank goodness Tri season isn't going on during December.

Lost 1 pound which is a miracle after this weekend. At least all of the chips and beers are out of the kitchen now! Carbs right? Imagine how much weight I could lose if they didn't come back into the house.

Well I am notorious for peeling off weight quickly, much to the intense dismay of my wife who battles to lose ounces per week.  I seem to get a lot of help from aerobic cardio workouts, and doing 2 shorter ones per day instead of 1 long one helps even more.  The theroy is that you actually burn calories even after you stop working out, so by doing a multiple workout, you keep your body in the fat burning zone a lot longer.  I don't expect to lose huge amounts every week...I tend to drop quickly at first and then taper off.  But I was down 5 pounds this morning and was surprised because I expected it to be 3 pounds.  I'll take it!

Congrats to all the other "losers" as that was one of the goals of this challenge...to get a good fitness base as well as get into a weight management scheme that might carry through the holidays!  I hate making a New Years resolution to lose weight, so this year I'm starting early!

Max - Great job with the five pound weigh loss!!!

I lost two pounds.  That is shocking considering how much I ate this weekend. Just think how much I would of lost if I had ate less! I am trying for another two pounds next week as well...

I didnt' get to update it but I had another 10min on the trainer on Saturday that is finally reflected in my log.  Sunday was my day of rest but I was back out there today getting to the gym.  I'm also biking home from work today (the first time in a long time) so I'll update my log with that ride tomorrow.  Hopefully, I'll be biking to and from work once or twice a week so I'll start racking up a lot more minutes.  Never got a chance to weight myself last week so I'll take my base weight today and see if anything comes off by next Monday.

 Cyclocross looks like a lot of fun and the pictures by KathyG make it look even better.  I'll have to check out the website for ones around here in the desert.

Wow, good news on the weight loss!  Jen, I'll round yours up to 3 lbs...close enough and you'll get credit for 300 bonus points!  Crews, sure the 1 lb loss is good for 100 points no matter how many hours you have.  And Mary...don't worry about the 1/2 lb gained, we won't count it against you.  I'm trying to give everyone the benefit of rounding things off here, since there is no reward to this challenge other than the fact that you're in it and trying your best to get a base fitness in the off season!

Keep up the good work, it's amazing how many we have here...I really thought this whole challenge was going to have about 10 people in it, and we have nearly 50 instead!!

LOL...now there is an idea, I could be a contender if we changed the rules for that. 

Originally I had figured on a point deduction for gaining weight, but then decided that was too much of a negative vibe.  If you've gained weight, there is enough to deal with without rubbing salt in the wound as well, so I've just counted weight loss as a bonus and not worried about weight gain.

So far as a group we've lost a combined 41 pounds this past week, and that is with 18 out of 48 listed challenge members!
