Hiya, Robin! Just got my first 16 miles of biking for the month. Next week will be light, because it is race week, but I planned for it.Nice job! What's next week's race? The Grizz Triathlon, in Missoula, MT. The biggest (# of participants, not distance) triathlon in the state. Approx 400 people, with a pool swim. It runs very smoothly. We are doing this as a team. I was supposed to just do the swim, but our biker backed out, so now I have to swim and bike. Getting a tri-suit for my birthday, though, so that will cut down on some transition. |

I think its awesome that you can ride for your commute. I'd get killed on the road here if I tried to ride to and from work, even though it is only 8 miles. Drivers just don't want to share the road. |

It is the De Soto Forza. I feel.......tight! It is holding the bulges allllll the way in. I don't even feel like a 'wanna be' in it. Now, if we could get some dry weather, over 50 degrees, I'd take a few laps and a couple of miles in it before the race! Oooh, I got the suit at trisports.com on clearance. Even better! |

I feel like getting a t-shirt to wear that says This IS my lane. Montana Code 44-451-8263 But I figured that was inflammatory. Why are people so charged about about a little inconvenience in slowing down for a second???? (For the purists, I made that code number up, but there is one.) |

I was on a country road and all of the sudden there was a dog running alongside me in the ditch. He darted up to the road and I hit my brakes to not run him over. He yipped at my heels for a bit before turning around and running away. Ive never been chased by a dog when riding... nto sure Id know what to do if I was! Being chased by dogs is good sprinting practice. I've also been chased by a cow, but that a whole other story. And not training related for that matter. I've been chased by a turkey. While running. A dog saved us. |
