So I just found a book about sex from 1948... it belonged to one of the pastors here...

may I quote somethings from it?  I am amused.

I used quotes from a 1918 guide on how to be a gentleman for my brother's wedding toast. It was funny as well.

Dan... using logic in TAN is dangerous...

Maybe I can find a place to trade in logic for a new set of sarc tags.

Broke yours last time? You can have mine; i don't need 'em.

No, I thought they were working but people still thought I was serious.  I gave up on them.  Can't say I really miss them either.

My ankle hurts, TAN. Methinks I have some tendonitis going on - can't wait for my new orthotics to come in. I think the overpronating is bothering my ankle (Caused by weak ankle, not arches, so no stability shoes for me, before you go suggesting that - my left foot would hate me for stability shoes)

How many miles do you have on your shoes?  Do I remember you saying you wear Mizuno's?  I stopped using them because they weren't the right shoe, but I found out that they were the wrong shoe after I broke down a pair and my ankles and knees started killing me.  The mileage that happened at: 150.

I wore Mizuno cleats in college and they killed me.  Shin splints, sore feet and legs... JMHO

243. The condom disturbs the poetry of love.  The condom diminishes the psychological pleasure of the sex relationship.  Sexual intercourse is by nature an animal function, but civilized man has refined and ennobled this pleasurable animal function until it has been elevated to a higher level of experience.... The condom destroys the beautiful illusion which civilized man has created for himself by a process of refinement and sublimation.  It is Mephisto laughing mockingly as Faust and Gretchen walk away together.

You read advice columns?  Wow.  If I were one of those people who said things like "Your man card has been revoked." I'd probably say that right now.  Good thing for you I'm not one of those people.

You're right, you're right... from now on, I'll just read TAN and anything else under the BT Forums heading... they're different, right?

I do wear Mizunos, but not cleats or even the "racer" shoe. They've still got some miles left - 70ish, maybe. I do like them for racing, and will probably keep them for that at the very least, but I am going to try a pair of Brooks for the upcoming mary training, they're a bit more cushiony. I really think that part of this is because of the overpronation, which the orthotics should fix. Now that I'm using my right leg more, it's probably taking more pounding.

I was just running in Inspire 4's (the mid-range).  You run in Wave Riders?  If that little plastic plate gets worn, I would bet it could be hell on your ankles.

Yeah, the Wave Riders. My current pair has 229 miles on them. I only weigh about 120 tops, so there is no way, I'd need to retire shoes BEFORE 300 miles! The PT said that I couldn't stretch them out much beyond 300 because of the leg length thing, but she said 300 would be fine. I have a new pair on backorder (as well as a pair of the Brooks), so I may retire these early. Ankle doesn't seem to hurt while I'm running though - didn't hurt on Sunday during my 9 miler. Was a little ouchy last night, but I'd run 3 days in a row, so my entire body was p*ssed at me. When my orthotics come in and I go back to the PT, I'll mention it to her.

I remember mine, they just failed.  One day, 3 mile training run, the next day, pain up the outside of both ankles.  Tried to even jog, not happening.  I was amazed and more than a bit angry, the shoes were still so close to new.  My Sauconys seem to be holding up a bit better.

Or a couple could take responsibility for their actions and not have intercourse when the woman's fertile. But that's too difficult... It's far, far easier to put up barriers.

Yeah, but you know how many deadbeat dads there are out there? Obviously not that enforceable. I don't know all the laws, and they're probably different by state. And NOT saying that the girl isn't responsible - she's the idiot who let him ride bareback without a back-up bc method. But people, esp. teenagers, are stupid.
