HAPPY HUMP DAY, bajingoes!

Woo hoo!

Started my hump day with a power outage at the office! Wheee! Took advantage of the downtime by going swimming

Started mine in the pool. Not luck enough for the power outage though.

I'm going to a crit practice tonight. I'm ready to get dropped. Hard.

Like.. a cycling crit?  I didn't even know there were practices for those; pretty groovy.

A completely uneventful hump day for me.  Boring day at work and the evening will be spent looking at things on the "hit list" from my girlfriend's home inspector.  In her city, she has to pass an inspection before she can list the house... so, I have some electrical work to do, and a little carpentry. Yay.

Yup!

Round 1: 15 minutes - non-competitive beginner

Round 2: 25 minutes - competitive, but no cat 1's or 2's

Round 3: 35 minute smashfest.

It's put on weekly... this will be my first go. I'll be doing the first one for sure, and probably the second. NOT the 3rd - though they do welcome slow people and if you get dropped, they let you latch on to the main pack if/when they pass you

WOOT!

Started hump day by getting my butt kicked by my evil trainer,  and just finished it by booking a flight to be in DC with Tony for the weekend.

Whose college basketball team beat the time that beat the team that was previously unbeaten?  Oh. Just mine ... and a whole bunch of others.

We have had season tickets to the Georgia Tech.  It is the first time I have had season tickets and gone to most of the games.  Georgia Tech does not have a good record and aren't going anywhere in March but it has been fun to see the games in person. The last second (0.7 seconds)  win over Boston College may have been the highlight of the season. I may buy tickets again next year.

Eww

When I feel that sort of stuff coming on, I load up on foods with lots of herbs & spices... 'specially HOT foods, and things with tons of garlic.

Mo' spicy, mo' bettah.

It has warmed up enough here that, combined with some rain (which I've learned is snow you don't have to shovel - neat stuff!), I can actually see my driveway and yard again.   This winter might actually end - someday.

What is this rain you speak of? and what is snow?

Actually:

Feb 18, 2013 - it snowed in actual city of Tucson (happens every few years)

Feb 18, 2014 - record high temps

WTF, AZ?

It's 39 degrees here right now, and I feel like Spring has arrived and that I should be getting ready to bust out the Coppertone.

MUST move south!!!

I saw an article that January was actually the fourth warmest January on record for the Earth. Notsomuch where I live, but interesting.

I love San Diego.

Ron Burgundy: Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.
Veronica Corningstone: No, there's no way that's correct.
Ron Burgundy: I'm sorry, I was trying to impress you. I don't know what it means. I'll be honest, I don't think anyone knows what it means anymore. Scholars maintain that the translation was lost hundreds of years ago.
Veronica Corningstone: Doesn't it mean Saint Diego?
Ron Burgundy: No. No.
Veronica Corningstone: No, that's - that's what it means. Really.
Ron Burgundy: Agree to disagree.

If you have a taste for craft brewed beer, San Diego is one of the best places to visit!
