i'll join endurance nation before i step inside a chuckie cheese.

we all did get a laugh at the fact miller beer is made by the united auto workers union.    you funny wisconsin people.. LOL!!!

Yea...all the union brothers & sisters are in an uproar up here.  Something about the budget and collective bargaining??  Laughing  Work has been very interesting!!!

Oh, and here.  I didn't bother to read all the fine print but I hear that the "Ironfit Nation" meets here weekly.     http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chucky_cheese

One of the best smells in the worls to me was the smell of my kids heads when they were little! People look at me crazy when I say this, but I read about it a few years ago and it is mostly men that can smell it. They think it may be a way men used to identify their own kids. (shrug) However if was like the best baked bread. (Besides Bono mentions it in a song so I am not alone!)

Enjoy while you can cause as they get older you identify them with other smells coming from the other end

I stop by after missing one afternoon and.....

People are sniffing babies heads and Grapejuice is about to get arrested.

People are eating a lot of fried food at Costco and starting to drink by 4pm EST when a marathon is around the corner.

People are going on vacation to dangerous lands just to get a jump on their tan to show it off in Knocksville.

And yet others are eating pizza with adults at Chucky Cheese...

WOW, quite an afternoon.

When the cougar's cat's away, the mus mice will play!!!

SERIOUS QUESTION AHEAD:

I am having stomach issues with my recovery meal after a hard workout (today=VO2), what works for you people?  Been really trying to get a decent amount of protein, but I think it is too much....today's was a fried egg on a 1/3 whole grain tortilla with a sniff of cheese on top....didn't sit well then and I'm still suffering.

last night after my ride i had a couple girl scout cookies and a few beers. seemed to work out well.  as far as sniffing... i do enjoy sniffing jacy's head.  baby head and dog paw, don't cha know.

hope this helps!  and have fun "breaking in" the new kitchen!!!

At this point, it won't even be funny any more (assuming it would have been earlier) but what I was trying to say earlier...

I think they should have pizza in the new kitchen!

I am sure that was worth the suspense KylaSmile

Love Friday nites in the MG, sipping on a glass oF Viogner with my dinner, hoping it doesn't screw up my run tomorrow...but feeling happy about being in the virtual "pub" with friends.

Still not running..

But man I had a GREAT swim last night... 2700 Meters. The other people in my lane said they were having a hard time keeping up last night and asked me what kind of fire got under my butt. Did it in about 75 mins with our breaks, coaching and instructions inbetween. My 400m sets were getting done in around the 8 min mark so I am pleased with that.

Also woke up early thanks to my dog and put 40 mins on my bike with Effort. Knee feels pretty good today. But stll going to adhere to all the PT and make sure I don't try running or anything until I am cleared to go.

It just feels GREAT to get a good hard workout in and feel like I accomplished something for the first time in two weeks.

Glad the swim and bike worked out for you. The Running will come just patient. It is hard to keep from chomping on the bit though.

George, really?  No pizza in the new kitchen last night, but Cooper did have his excitement pee issues twice!  Does that count for something?  The man is going nuts.  Whenever he sees new people or we get home from going somewhere he pees a little.  Just like my 87 yo mom

Kyla--how do we stop it?  We ignore him, but it still happens.  Less so when he sees me since I am the alpha dog and around him 99% of the time. HELP!!!!

I cant believe that I'm going to be the one giving the serious answer.

Our wheaten used to have excitement for what seemed like forever. Our vet told us it was something that she just had to outgrow. And she did.

Oh that note, I'm going to wake up Michelle. See how she feels after some leftover Pizza this morning. HA i wish/

Off for my run!

That Trevor, he's a smart one. Not about pizza, mind you, but about submissive urination. Clearly he speaks about that which he knows.

In all seriousness, though, Trevor is right -- from what I understand when it's exicted pee you kinda gotta live with it, and they DO outgrow it. Trip used to do it a lot out of excitement. Now he rarely does, but there are some situations that send him leaking. One is at his training class where a dog of his breed comes in for the next class. Trip doesn't even SEE this dog but starts whining and carrying on ("My peeps!! I found my peeps!!!") when the dog walks in. When they get to say hello and play kissy-face Trip has peed every time (they've only met 3 times over 3 weeks now). And we're not talking dribbles!! It's really annoying but happens sooooo fast and he's just so excited he, well, he's just so excited he could pee, and he does!! Keep your Nature's Miracle around, don't make a big deal out of it, and tell The Man to chill out. Urine is sterile.

George--you are on fire today!! Such a bad boy!  Personally I like my pizza with extra toppings

Kyla--it may be sterile, but it still stains the new grout!

Decided to run outside even if it was only 9F, windy and snowing.  LOVED IT!  A little hard to walkand do drills in the middle of the run without freezing and do strides on the slippery pavement, but all in all a good start to the morning!!!  Who wouldn't rather look at pine trees and deer than hang on the TM???

Suzy - I agree with Kyla. Doggies will outgrow it or every once in a while it will happen. My two year old just did it a few days ago. I never went inside after school, which I should have. Instead, I turned on the water hose to rinse off the spoiled spilled milk that happened the day before off the driveway. It took me a while.   Then I went inside. My poor doggie was barking like crazy (didn't have my CI on), and she just got slightly too excited and started to pee a little. She tried to hold it in, but she couldn't.   A trip outside emptied her, and I just cleaned up the pee.

It was way easier to clean than my cat dragging her butt on the floor after getting poop stuck to her furry butt. So what do you think is worse? *winks*

If you're concerned about staining - it may have not gotten the chance to seal correctly. There are grout cleaners that you can use that will help that.  Check into what type to use. Different grouts can tolerate different things.  My marble floors (yes it's marble...I didn't do it...the house is 1964!) accepts bleach very well, while other grouts don't.

It's just excitement pee pee, nothing more. If Cooper keeps on doing it, and you know he's just about to squat, scoop him up on his butt, it will STOP him from peeing anymore, and take him outside. Don't bother to ignore/scold him. He'll get the wrong message...as he may think, "Excitement + scolding = bad".

Cooper is so cute. :-P

Happy Birthday Doug!!!
