There's a great vibe up here and those bags do rock.  Question, I saw people walking around with 2011 IMLP finisher shirts.  Do we get a finisher shirt post race or is that something we have to buy?

You will get a finisher shirt when you cross the finish line and then the following morning you can buy lots more finisher stuff if that interests you! Have fun this weekend!

I thought I would share a funny text I just got from my niece and I quote, " Uncle Bubby you are a bad a$$ mother effer and you need to make that Ironman your biotch. I was riding the shuttle bus from the rental cars to the Terminal in Chicago and just started cracking up. I thought it was hilarious. Could be the nervous taper energy. See you all tomorrow.Kevin

Been here since yesterday, the weather is amazing and the city has a quiet energy too it. I imagine it will become quite hectic by Saturday. Is it impossible to get a table to eat in town that night?

I always take 2 days before a big race off, but I may head down to the beach to say hi tomorrow!

I am so excited for you guys!!!! Have a blast, be safe, sing to yourself on the bike. I remember exactly how I was feeling this time last year (mostly scared out of my mind....but needlessly so in the end).

It was an honor to meet and serve some of you today and thank you all for the kind words. I apologize if I don't remember all of your names, I'm not good with them in the first place but then you throw in that envirnment and it's even harder! Lol!

Remember we want your chip back but you can keep the pee, sweat, salt soaked strap!

And dale I can't think of anyone else who wanted a picture with a volunteer! That put a smile on my face! Thank you!

See you all in the AM!!

Thanks James...and thanks for your tip on the baby shampoo. Worked great today on the googles. Do I need to keep reapplying before each swim or just every so often?

Was nice meeting some of you guys this morning. Got there little late as parking was harder to find than I thought. The water felt super warm to me, almost like a pool. After swimming a lap I felt if I had my wetsuit and another lap, it might have started to feel uncomfortably warm. Only reason I'm considering using it now would be because it takes the annoyance of having to put on my shirt and hr strap on. Also making the swim feel that much easier...might take a 10 min swim with it on tomorrow to test but we'll see. Hope everyone else is enjoying the festivities and preparing for Sunday.

Sorry I missed the swim this morning, I've been getting minimal sleep and needed to catch up on my sleep as much as possible.  I swam one lap yesterday in full suit and felt great, no issue with overheating, will be wearing it tomorrow, need all the help possible.

Good luck everyone!  I'll be wearing Rusty's BT tatoo and will look for you all out there!  Thanks for all your support!

Edit: I'm staying at Water's Edge Way, nice condo on the water.

Jeff, put it on your left calf. That is where mine is going per what I heard from Rusty, a.k.a. The tattoo artist.

Great Pic!!!  Can you email me a copy of it?

Kathy - I'm the one wearing the black wetsuit

It was great meeting all of you yesterday.  I thought the swim went great, if I could do that same thing tomorrow it would be an awesome swim.  Now if I could stay behind Kent I may actually come out of the water towards the front

Have a good relaxing day today,  since I won't be doing much but checking in my bike/gear.  I'll probably be on here most of the day.

If I don't see or talk to any of you today, have a great race tomorrow and I'll be looking for the tattoos

The lake temp is perfect, weather is great and the roads look good. Seems like it will be an awesome day tomorrow. Hope everyone has their feet up today and are resting up for tomorrow's fun. I'll be at Run Aide Station #3 on River Road. Best of luck everyone! Have fun.

When you do your race reports it could be helpful if you post on this thread about where you stayed and your review of the place. Next years BTers would find it helpful to hear yor insight on lodging, rentals, condos, etc.
