Not sure how it happened. Not fair! I gained 3 pounds. I think it was the medium pizza I took down last night. Do we get bonus points for the most impressive weight gain in one week? LOL...now there is an idea, I could be a contender if we changed the rules for that. Originally I had figured on a point deduction for gaining weight, but then decided that was too much of a negative vibe. If you've gained weight, there is enough to deal with without rubbing salt in the wound as well, so I've just counted weight loss as a bonus and not worried about weight gain. So far as a group we've lost a combined 41 pounds this past week, and that is with 18 out of 48 listed challenge members!
Psh...we kick a$$ !! |

That's impressive! Wish I could contribute to the total but I'm up a pound. Just more for me to lose next week I guess |

Congrats on the tremendous mileage though, you really put in a huge effort this past week!

I've been reading your log for the times, but I think I had credited you with 5 extra bonus points by mistake. The total should come to 130 points, so I've just fixed my error! Hmmm, I use trig at work all the time, it comes pretty easy. I guess simple addition is my downfall....LOL Here's the latest spreadsheet. The only things missing are the daily totals and final points of the 5 people who had weight loss today, but still have blank logs as far as trainer minutes. I tend to get some of the west coasters later on in the evening as they update their logs.

BigDH - 2008-12-08 11:34 PM For the weight loss component, isn't it the net gain/loss from beginning to the end of the month? Actually I was doing the bonus points based on weekly weight loss, instead of waiting until the entire month was completed. I'm not sure it makes a difference, but I figured by doing it that way, at least it gave people a chance to shoot for some bonus points on the short term. I thought they might lose interest in it if they had to wait the 30 days to see how much of a bonus it would be. Does this make any sense? LOL, I'm not sure any of it does, there really was no scientific reasoning behind it all, I was just throwing ideas in the air and hoping that it all worked out in the end!

That's cool. I suppose it also gives other people motivation, you know, who probably are not going to drop the big pounds, if you care about the standings, which I don't, really....just saying. |

Take care of it now and avoid a long period of frustration next year when the warm weather comes around. Nothing worse than an injury right during the middle of tri season!!
