sparco - 2009-06-05 9:38 AM Taking the day off to watch my daughter compete in the MN State Track prelims (300 hurdles).  Have a great Friday and catch you all later this afternoon.

Hope to get in my 2.5 hour ride and if all goes as planned, brick into a 50 min run.

Happy Friday all...

Good luck to your daughter!!

I second that!!!!  Good Luck Daughter!

Thanks all!  She didn't make prelims, so won't be running in the state finals tomorrow, but she's had a terrific year!  Went from never seeing a hurdle this year as a freshman to qualifying for State.  We're proud of her!

3 more years!

Holy Macrel thats awesome!!!  You guys are going to be BUSY next year.   Again congrats to her!

chartierm22 - 2009-06-05 1:41 PM I'm thinking about doing a short 20min run, what do you all think?  No run today as my 5k is bright and smiley tomorrow or can I get away with a short run today?

Me personally...I'd rest.  If you're an experienced runner, I don't see anything wrong with doing 2 miles, throwing in a few strides at pace.

Good luck!

You can probably get away with a short run if you want to.  Just take it easy and do it a little slower so that you're not too tired tomorrow.

We're up in Albany, NY for my ride on Sunday. The drive weather was fairly crappy (rain) but the traffic wasn't bad. I checked in with my relatives and will get together with them tomorrow (and probably Sunday after the ride). Tonight we're going out for ribs. Yumm!!

Gotta love hotels with free high speed wireless internet!

Using the above directions, paste this html onto your Dashboard, at the location where you want it to appear:
(I know this is wide, but the thread will go back to normal on the next page.)

Artemis - 2009-06-04 6:09 PM

Sweet, thanks Jen! I have never had a table in my dashboard before!!

Not that I can figure out how to get the thing into my log now that they've changed the editing...

1) Go to Dashboard
2) Paste the HTML where you want it. (Not the picture, since that'll mess up the links.)
3) Hit the UPDATE button
4) Click Training Log at the top of the page.

If that doesn't work, let me know....

There's a reason your "in charge", isn't there? Thanks for the help!

I ran a mile today. Hee hee! Yep, one single mile. How cool am I?

On more interesting news, I got in the lottery to run the Falmouth Road Race is the Boston area this summer when we're on vacation...now that's cool. For real.

So, more impetus to run lots this month.

chartierm22 - 2009-06-04 8:12 PM Oh man, I'm late to the party and my name is left off the table.

My Fault, that'll teach me to be late.

Hi all my name is Melissa.  Really excited about this challenge, saturday is going to be my first 5k race ever.  My hubby and a bunch of our friends are going to be running in the race.  Wish me luck.

I hope to be able to keep up with you all chat wise this month but family life is really crazy right now.  Most days I don't know if I'm coming or going.  I will keep up on the running, it helps with my sanity.

Hope everyones week is going well and that the upcoming weekend will be even better.

Mel

Hi Melisssa!!  Here's a version with your name on it:

Jen,
On the table, is the "Junebugs" hotlink supposed to take you to the forum posts? Mine doesn't work and neither does my "spreadsheet" hotlink...any idea what I can do to fix them?

Last I had looked they were saying a high of 78 for my ride on Sunday. Now they've backed it down to a high of 73 with a temp below 50 for the ride start! I guess I'll get to try out my new arm warmers.

I checked out Freehold, NY but didn't realize it was that close to Albany. The ride is up in Saratoga Springs. They're now only predicting a high of 73, with a ride start temp below 50!

I'll look into it.  I think there are some extra spaces screwing things up, but I may have to change the links altogether.

Important question (that's why this is bold  ):

Is everyone able to log in to the spreadsheet?  It is VERY important that everyone is updating both their logs and the spreadsheet.  Please let me know if you have any problems with it!

Thanks!!
