Subject: RE: Hearts - February ChallengeAtlantia - 2010-02-15 9:14 AM After a week of snow and whining it feels so good to be getting workouts in again. Another super slow run, but I got it done, and that's what counts. Just as I was coming into the home stretch a young dog bounded out into the street and started running with me. I slowed, then stopped. Its owner was trying to catch him, but puppy was having none of it. Almost got hit by a car, too. The guy was saying his dog was just enjoying playing in the snow then ran off. I sort of wanted to smack him. We are not a safe neighborhood for puppies off leash. I finally lured the dog in with some treats I had in my vest pocket, then handed him over to the owner with a nasty face. Hope he learned his lesson. Glad you were able to help the puppy. I doubt the nasty face did anything, but let's hope so for the puppy's sake. |
