I have pre-race jitters! It is not deep, but will depend on where they set the buoys , prior years they've been close to shore (due to cold & fog , is my guess). there is double sandbar that can make the water very shallow. The water is clear 99% of time and seeing the "sand lines" that run parallel to the shore make it feel just like your local pool. |

No worries I'm flipping out, too. And I'm especially not thrilled that I'm second to the last wave out I believe....that's not nice at all. |

No worries I'm flipping out, too. And I'm especially not thrilled that I'm second to the last wave out I believe....that's not nice at all. Trixie...unless you are a 35-39 male, you are actually with me, in the third to last wave (well, I guess second, if you count the males 35-39 as one, but it was broken up into two waves.)

Just booked a room at the marriott for two nights at the tune of $418. Ouch. It's the ONLY one I found after an hour search on the interwebs... |

Hey there Steve...it's booked. I tried EVERYTHING! I've a friend to stay with Sat night now, that will save some dough. It's cool, my own fault for waiting til today to book a room! Will be nice to see you again! |

So far with Steve and myself that makes 6....anyone else want to join us???
