My new scale is kind of all over the place.  Varies by up to 3 lbs from day to day so I feel like I just need to stick with the big picture rather than focus on each number.  Up 2 lbs from yesterday to 137 but my eating was not that off....

Two things that help me.  I choose a "clothing barometer".  Something that in a little tight and try it on periodically to check the fit.  It lets me know if I am on track with changing things even if the scale isn't moving much.   My other rule is to try to not eat out of open containers.  I will put a serving in a dish or plate and close the bag/box and put it away.  No mindless eating that way.

wgraves7582 - 2010-11-26 2:58 AM HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

Today is one day I give myself an all day bye - I started last night with some chips and dip and peanuts and a nice ice cold Dr. Pepper watching a movie with the family!

I will not have access to a scale next week -  I am in Boston for the week but I will check in with you guys and send well wishes!

Enjoy your holiday weekend everyone!

Enjoy yourself!

I got by day one of the Thanksgiving Day/B-day weekend and was the same weight at yesterday morning - YEAH.  Today is a new challenge.

Hey everyone, sorry I've been slacking on BT time but just caught up in my logs and I'm at 179 so slowly creeping down.

back up to 149.4 this morning I knew the 146.6 wouldn't stay from earlier this week but I was not expecting 2.8 up by the end of the week. Keep eating in check (including yesterday for the most part) - blah.

Morning folks!  Has everyone safely emerged from turkey and pie coma? Football frenzy? Shopping spasms? Family fun or maybe dysFUNction?

For those doing the 4 day full on extravaganza (some with birthdays thrown in for good measure) live it up and be smart.

As for me, I am recommitted to getting on track.  Planning on some interval training on the bike trainer today and maybe a walk with the pups for good measure.  Pie is gone as is the dressing (hubby took care of those).  Leftover turkey is going in the freezer for soups and casseroles later on.  Making  Moroccan spiced salmon with veggies and coucous for dinner from Cooking Light.com for dinner.

Have a great weekend all!!

Got a the scale yesterday expecting the worst and was pleasantly surprised. Only gained 0.2 over turkey day feast. Not feeling well and as a resut I haven't felt like eating so I'm hoping that will help me lose some weight. We'll see how it goes when I step on the scale next.

My scale was kind on Friday but got progressively worse throughout the weekend.  I had 4 DAYS of my in-laws...  Not only does the stress of trying not to let loose on MIL drive me to eat and drink more but the whole family tends to evereat as a whole, which doesn't help.  I actually can't wait until Xmas - my family has the exact opposite effect on my household and our eating habits.

Morning all.  135.5 today. Slight drop daily for the past 4 days.  Not sure whether to believe it yet.  Maybe when it stays down for a full week.  Logging food intake and getting back to running has helped I think.

Reestablishing commitment is a good idea. Staying fresh keeps goals in mind and gives a new start if things haven't been progressing as planned, or if there was a detour.

Good luck in December!

This month has been a little rocky for me. I was +2 on top of my starting point (176) and now I have gotten down to 174. Hoping to see some results next month! I've made a new training plan that includes my recently purchased spinner, which seems to already be helping.

121.8 today

It appears as a flatline since last Wednesday; however, it is really the net of indulgence followed by food poisoning or a stomach bug!

I made some progress but did it the hard way. Been sick and lost some weight. Down to 195.8. All of a sudden that goal is looking like a possibility again.

It was a long, unhealthy weekend for me   Today I made a commitment to nutrition again and have done very well.  I'm not getting on the scale yet.....I need to get myself back on track for a while before I'm able to look at the numbers on the scale.  My motivation goes beyond the scale and having just jumped into this I will only fixate on the scale, which should not be the only goal.

back down after being UP, back down to 147.8. Now to keep that trend continuing. Leaving tomorrow for my parents until Monday so I will weigh hopefully before I leave and then when I am back on my own scale on Tuesday morning.
