2 purpose: to keep my streak going (duck so the dirty look Salty's shooting me through the interwebs doesn't bore through my skull) BUT, I did it so slowly that I can barely count it as running.

I'm either sick or over reached or both.  Frick

It looks awesome.  It feels like you're barely wearing anything, despite it covering a lot more of your body than a standard kit.  It tests incredibly fast according to ST, and it definitely feels fast.

The sleeves work well on the run and the bike, and it surprisingly doesn't play as much of a factor in the swim.  It's a very form fitting suit, so there isn't a lot of drag going on.

Today's run:

10.6 with a purpose of LSD (long steady distance)

I hadn't ever thought about kit testing for speed.  I guess that seems kinda obvious now, duh.  Well, it looks cool==glad you like it.  Btw, there's something about the yellow sign in the background that keeps tricking my eye into thinking you have on a yellow cape, which would be cool in it's own way, but would definitely add drag;)

Why, thank you kindly! But the triple was just a long split into 3 shorter runs. First time I ever did that and it's lot easier than a long of the same length. I really don't want to do many of those but it was necessary to find out pacing and Ragnar needs. I was trying to get at least one of the triples out of the way before the mary training plan started. Hope you are feeling better!!

Absolutely, early this year I was doing walk 5 laps (1/10 mile at Y) run one and had worked up to maybe every other one running before I did a HM in April. I took off running and got to the one mile mark still running and wondered if it was Really a one mile marker, It Was!
After that I had more confidence and have upped things from there but the distance still amazes me at times.

I look forward to my increased distances now, like a little present each time.

easy 3.4k for me today. Purpose - base building.

I upped the speed on my treadmill today and managed surprisingly well. The last 5 minutes were a bit tough but I got it done.

What marathon are you doing and what plan are you following? Also, what Ragnar are you doing?

Marathon is Louisiana Marathon in Baton Rouge Jan 19th. Ragnar is TN. Plan is a mix - Hal Higdon Advanced 1 with modifications with things I've done in the past and things I haven't done in the past. While this thread has made me very interested in JD, I just don't have the mindset right now to go for zones, etc.

3.7 miles. Purpose: Hills, Strength, Running in the dark on a busy road, keeping my arse moving up and down the hills
