Seattle | Subject: RE: September Running Challenge! Originally posted by msteiner lookin' good!!!!!! And that's all that matters 3 miles today in warming and racing for a Sprint tri. Mainly did the race for fun and to test my new tri suit (Pearl Izumi Octane). I love this suit!
Edit: Yes I understand the irony of posting a bike picture in a running thread. |

Edit: Yes I understand the irony of posting a bike picture in a running thread. Heck yeah Matt! Why do you like your kit so much? How do the sleeves feel? It looks awesome. It feels like you're barely wearing anything, despite it covering a lot more of your body than a standard kit. It tests incredibly fast according to ST, and it definitely feels fast. The sleeves work well on the run and the bike, and it surprisingly doesn't play as much of a factor in the swim. It's a very form fitting suit, so there isn't a lot of drag going on. Today's run: 10.6 with a purpose of LSD (long steady distance) |

Regular 5477 LHOTP | Subject: RE: September Running Challenge! Originally posted by msteiner I hadn't ever thought about kit testing for speed. I guess that seems kinda obvious now, duh. Well, it looks cool==glad you like it. Btw, there's something about the yellow sign in the background that keeps tricking my eye into thinking you have on a yellow cape, which would be cool in it's own way, but would definitely add drag;)Originally posted by switch Originally posted by Asalzwed Originally posted by msteiner lookin' good!!!!!! So you did a triple the day before day 1 of marathon training. You're a nut. I like that Why, thank you kindly! But the triple was just a long split into 3 shorter runs. First time I ever did that and it's lot easier than a long of the same length. I really don't want to do many of those but it was necessary to find out pacing and Ragnar needs. I was trying to get at least one of the triples out of the way before the mary training plan started. Hope you are feeling better!! |

Do you remember when you couldn't even run one? I sure can! Absolutely, early this year I was doing walk 5 laps (1/10 mile at Y) run one and had worked up to maybe every other one running before I did a HM in April. I took off running and got to the one mile mark still running and wondered if it was Really a one mile marker, It Was! After that I had more confidence and have upped things from there but the distance still amazes me at times. I look forward to my increased distances now, like a little present each time. |

I like that Marathon is Louisiana Marathon in Baton Rouge Jan 19th. Ragnar is TN. Plan is a mix - Hal Higdon Advanced 1 with modifications with things I've done in the past and things I haven't done in the past. While this thread has made me very interested in JD, I just don't have the mindset right now to go for zones, etc. 3.7 miles. Purpose: Hills, Strength, Running in the dark on a busy road, keeping my arse moving up and down the hills Edited by Pink Socks 2013-09-17 5:20 AM |
