CONGRATULATIONS to Who's Your Marmadaddy? This is the second week in a row that they've had the top ranking! BUT remember that this is only the THIRD week of the challenge! January is only 64.5% completed. And some of the teams are REALLY close to one another! There's still time to help your team achieve that #1 ranking! So get out there and Swim/Bike/Run!... And then Swim/Bike/Run some more! Dee and Beth |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Who's Your Marmadaddy Important Challenge Announcement: This is a team challenge, so Beth and I have decided to offer you extra incentive to help your team. Some participants are dealing with illness, injury, or just "life in general." And we know you want your team to do well, so: You may now achieve 120% of your goal! Up to 120% of each person's progress will be counted in your team's percentages. (Yes, we know that some of you have raised your goals. It's your choice whether to try to achieve 120% based upon your original goal, or your new one.) The team with the highest percentage will WIN the Challenge. Any team that achieves 100% (or more), will also be declared a winner, and get to display the "Winner" signature line. We hope this provides a little incentive for you to get out there and SWIM, BIKE or RUN! Dee and Beth |

Three Cheers for our Team Namesake!!! Congratulations! That means at least 2 of the guys have met the goal! 20% more for me equals 7 more miles this month... I think I can do that!

I got in 3.5 miles today while things were running in the lab. That puts me at 43.85 (73%) - only 16.15 left to go! I'm feeling pretty confident that I'll be able to do it. I was less sure earlier in the month. |

Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: Who's Your Marmadaddy Thanks! I'm thinking it's more formality in the process cause it's a transfer to a different department and hospital within the system I already work for. Still critical care stuff since it's the cath lab--but not the drudgery of the ER with inappropriate use of EMS or placement in the department... |

No walk/running for me today, but I did get in 30 minutes of some much needed meditation/yoga time. Judi - how did the interview go? It went well. I found out that the position has to be released at a very high level of management so they can't officially offer it to me until the high honcho signs off (today or Monday?). Policy says my managers can hold me up to 1 schedule cycle before releasing me but since DH manages the cath lab at the hospital I'm currently at there's some wheeling and dealing to put pressure on my current managers to let me go since the new job is trying to open an interventional lab in the next 3 weeks. I'd primarily do 2-12 hr shifts a week in the pre/post area (right off the recovery room from the OR) and cross train for the lab or angiography suites for an extra shift or occasional call time. Right now the only thing she's opening for that area is 12 hr shifts, maybe once things "grow" a bit she can switch things around for some 8 hr shifts ( I hope so, I don't care for 12's--BUT this place is about half the distance of my current commute and same pay) |
