That must be a nice relief. Eric & Betsy I'm sure you're so happy to be back from Hawaii. Did you guys get a chance to eat some shaved ice? |

Payson, AZ | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!KelliD - 2010-05-03 7:27 AM I'm not even posting my April totals. I sure hope so for the 1.2 cause that's about my totals and I'm hoping to survive my HIM swim on it. I might do a OWS event the same day (probably not the same event) so I'd be interested in the groups thoughts as well. I'll be in a wetsuit for mine, what about you? |

Extreme Veteran 689![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!We had amazing weather in New York over the weekend and tried to take advantage of it. We spent the entire day in Central Park on Sat and rowed boats.. Saw all the young couples "in love" making out in their boat. My 2 yr old asked me "Daddy do you want a kiss? not that long ok.." Had a not so good run on Sunday. The good thing is it was long the bad thing is my endurance went out the door. I had to walk a few times when going pretty slow. Not sure what's up, I think it's the combo of not being able to work out as much and the new Asics Kayanos still giving me blisters. These are my third pair and never had so much problems with them. I've already put in almost 50 miles on them.. I think I bought a lemon.. |

Master 1209![]() ![]() ![]() New York, NY | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!For this one I'll wear a wetsuit. The water temps are still pretty chilly, at somewhere in the low 60's. If I do the one in mid-June the water temp would be high 60's/maybe 70, so I'd like to be tough enough and just wear a swimsuit. bzgl40 - 2010-05-03 11:23 AM I sure hope so for the 1.2 cause that's about my totals and I'm hoping to survive my HIM swim on it. Have you swam this distance before in a race? If you have, what was your endurance/training like for those races? |

Master 1209![]() ![]() ![]() New York, NY | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!No, although I was looking at that race. The one I'm considering is The Great Hudson River Swim. More convenient for me than renting a car and heading out to NJ, and the race doesn't start until noon. kcarroll - 2010-05-03 11:41 AM Kelli is this the NaveSink or Swim? On the plane ride back I told Eric...man, Houston is ugly! Hawaii was absolutely wonderful. It was the perfect honeymoon! Congrats to everyone who raced, the new bike and the new job! And yes Stan we did get some shaved ice with some yummy mac nut ice cream at the bottom! |

Payson, AZ | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!I just got called a drug dealer and it makes me so proud!!! My involvement in tri's got one of my friends back off the couch and training and just completed his first tri this weekend. He's lost a lot of weight, got healthy, and kicked . Averaged 19.3 on a mountain bike. "You are a drug dealer! I think I am seriously hooked on this now." I love seeing my friends get fit. That's the second one that has fallen victim to me. |

We went for a little 5 mile ride around the neighborhood last night and the difference was huge! She corners very well and it was easier to get up to speed. Looking forward to longer rides. |

Veteran 204![]() ![]() | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!
Numbers are not bad for last month. I really want to increase the time and mileage on the bike this month and months to come. Also, focusing on nailing down the issue with the cramping. I think part of it could be that I do not keep myself well hydrated. Another thing I am doing is keeping track of my sweat rate...this will help me know exactly how much I need to take in during training and races...maybe that will help too. I will just keep doing different things until I find a solution that works. Keri - Love the new ride....and thanks for reminding me that I want a new one! Eric & Betsy - Glad you had a great time and sorry you had to come back ....but we are glad to have you back!Sean - Congrats on the new job! | |

Then when the stupid thing tries to fly off he gets stuck between my jaw and the straps of my helmet. I start freaking out thinking he's going to take this out on me and sting me so I start shaking my head like a crazy person trying to get him away from me. Almost fell off my bike but thankfully I didn't get stung! So that's my excitement for the day, hope everyone is having a good Tuesday!! |
