Congrats to everyone who raced this weekend!   I had my 5k yesterday morning.  Same course as last time.  I have been working for under 30 minutes.   I am not there yet, but my time was 30:38.  That is 9:53 min/mile.  While I didn't make the 30 minutes, I was very excited to be at 9:53.  That was my first race at 9 minute miles!!!!  Yeah me!!

Happy Sunday All....
Had the sprint yesterday with wife. We did okay...I pushed the bike pretty hard as I didnt have to run. Did the 20k in roughly 37 minutes.(and that was with a quick Karma stop included) It was a 7k loop(3 times around)  with 300 people on it. Women started the swim 30 min esrlier than us. I know how you feel now Tony!! LOTS OF PEOPLE!! Anyhow, saw a girl with a flat on 1st loop. She had helpers so no biggee. Came around again, and they were STILL there. There were asking if anyone had a tube and cartridge, so I stopped and threw mine to them. Not like we were going to win any medals, so whats a minute or two. Swim was fine, and wife ran just off her PB for 5k so she was happy too. It was an early day getting the girls out of bed at 5:30 to get out to the race!

Hey Kim, maybe they can sign Bonds for the playoff push. Maybe he'll sign for league minimum as he's such a great guy. Tongue out

Nice run Karen, You'll bust that 30 min wall soon!!

Nice run Tony!! You are one fast cat...But how did Sam run? And what's that new avatar?

Didn't drown two days in a row   Finished my sprint tri in a time of 1:35 despite the weather a mid run port-a-jon stop...  Learned some new lessons.  Best news is that it was more fun than personal torture this time!  I will post RR later, got to run out for a brunch at a Mid-Eastern restaurant - bring on the humus and pitas....

Hi all - Sounds like the group had a great weekend of racing!  My hat is off to my hubby.  He had a super race on Sat. and is showing some great improvement in his running.  He definitely kicked my butt.  I think the torch has officially been passed.  I can't beat him anymore but I'll still keep trying.  ;-)  Did take him a year though to finally get faster than me.  Tongue out

My race was so- so.  I was disappointed that I was only about 25 sec. faster than last year.  Pretty sad after all of the miles I have logged in the past 12 months.  I really need to work track work but into my training plan.  I have a large stack of run plans and workouts that I need to pull together in the next few weeks.  My fall marathon plan kicks off at the end of July.

BTW - Anyone watching Wimbleton?  The Fed/Rod match is incredible.

Again trevor is that fast?  who knows, only you and Rob speak metric...

That is the Argibutel logo for the TdF challenge.  Next year I need to remember to ask that we be on a GC contender or at least a team that has some chance of winning a stage.  They are a local type team that gets picked to do the race, might be in a couple breakaways but not much else.  More fun to gloat to other teams when you have a win or two.

Nice job, Trevor!  Just used my metric converter and it says:   20.1 mph

YOU and Rob really need to just convert for us, cmon!  And we don't need anyone else on our team...don't try to send me Marco Scutaro or some other Canadian team's player for my pitching prospects!  And to John, I believe (i could be wrong, but.....) the Rangers came in here and got handled by my Giants...not sure if Lincecum had a chance to wallop on that AL team!

Well, I am back from my big honking bike ride!  Have never gone this far before and it wasn't too bad.  I was even able to digest the Perpeteum and Chomps!  Definitely not enough calories, but I am moving in the right direction.

I am behind on the pages, but near as I can tell, Trevor is on cloud 9, Karen set another PR and Sam is going to do whatever it takes to crush Tony's time.  Sam, you can do it!  To Trevor and Karen, a big "WAY TO GO".

I'm skipping swimming (OMG!) to head into town to look around, grab a beer or two and watch the water ski show.  Make the rest of the day a good one.

Sounds like another great weekend for team SWBKRUN MG!

Trevor - I think it's cool you raced with your wife!   WTG!!!

Andy - Nice job - two days in a row!  BTW, I would say follow a HIM plan with an emphasis on the run.  You don't want to lose your swm & bike, and to be honest there are a lot of folks that walk some of the HIM.

John - nice run.  Glad it was fun...that's really what this is all about.  That and an excuse to eat/drink more

Tony - great run.  Way to go!

Karen - nice run.  You are going to smash that 30 mark next time...probably be at  least 2 min.  Keep up the great work.

Sam - caught the end of Wimbelton.  Hated to see either lose that one       They didn't play like that when I was there

you're right.  rangers suck.   but......  i'm from CT.  yanks fan all my life.   we have 26 rings.  almost the same number of postseason games the giants have played in.   (our 39 pennants is well above the number,  but don't feel bad).
the giants haven't won a ring since they moved to the Bay.... right?  1957 right?  oswalt looked good today, huh?

so how was the wedding?

That's great!!!!   62 miles is a long way.

I have a bottle of S Caps that you can have if you want.  The bottle is open but I've only had two out of it. If  you don't and someone else on the MG does let me know.  I tried them a few months ago but didn't like them.

just checked, its a 100 count bottle.  great job skipping the swim for a beer or 10 too!!!

Hey gang, RR is up for the sprint.  They still haven't posted times from swim races from the day before (they didn't use a timing chip service and had them in Excel).  I will post the swim RR up when I get the times.

I can say it was a full weekend!  I am tired.  I think I am going to hit a recovery ride tomorrow in Z1 or Z2.  7 days to the next tri!  14 days and counting John!

you're right.  rangers suck.   but......  i'm from CT.  yanks fan all my life.   we have 26 rings.  almost the same number of postseason games the giants have played in.   (our 39 pennants is well above the number,  but don't feel bad).
the giants haven't won a ring since they moved to the Bay.... right?  1957 right?  oswalt looked good today, huh?

so how was the wedding?

Ouch!  Okay, that really hurt!  I don't think I was that mean...remind me not to get into a team debate with you!

BTW, the wedding was awesome.  I think my calves were more sore on Saturday morning after wearing heels all night than they feel right now after my 10 mile run!  But it was worth it.

you wanna talk about your boy barry?  THAT would be fun.  I even saw Canadian Jr was yapping at you about him.

Just when I was starting to like you, you throw that zinger out there. I guess money can buy short-term happiness.

Hey I know this 7 year old boy. HUGE Yankess fan. He's really hpoing they can win te championship in his lifetime!!!

bought me my tri bike.  then i raced the 70.3 @ 14.5 avg.  yup, short term happiness.  Sealed
