I took extra care not to subject him to too much buttage and/or boobage, and I even waited to eat the plate of black beans and chips until after class. Hahahahahaha! I can't help but giggle, mainly because I've been in a hot yoga class before where the poor guy must have been holding it to the point of pain before he found a pose that wouldn't let him clench enough to keep the gas in... oh holy dayum that was pretty much a room clearer! The poor instructor was trying everything she could to re-gain control over a room of super sweaty people rolling on the floor with laughter. |

I had a pair when I was living in Vancouver and they got absolutely trashed from wearing them so much - and I just recently found out that they have a store in Chicago! I MUST go. Tony doesn't need to know about it. ;) I won't tell him. Maybe we can have a Fluevog date in August. :) I own one pair. I bought them in San Francisco last year. I absolutely adore them and must own more. This sounds like a FABULOUS idea!!! When will you be here in August? I'm racing the Sprint Nationals in Milwaukee on August 11. So, sometime around then. I want to go down to Chicago for a day or two because we never do anything as just a small family and I think that's also really important. Awesome - we're doing the AG Sprint Nats too! And Salty is doing the Oly distance. Manatee Meet-Up in Milwaukee! :) The family thing is hugely important - I'm really looking forward to getting away with T for something that's just for fun. OK, OK, tell me about this whole Age Group Nationals thing. I have no idea how any of this works, but the last few days I keep getting emails about it in my inbox--I guess I qualified for the sprint and Oly from the past two weekends. IDK, the whole thing is confusing to a newb. I blew them off because I heard it was full and I thought, oh well, ok, next year. But then today I got something about "VIP registration" (is that BS??) and being put on a waiting list. I live closish to Milwaukee. Should I try to get on the waiting list, or skip it and "do it right" next year? Thoughts? AG Nats are the weekend of August 10th/11th in Milwaukee and you have to qualify to race in the Olympic distance (you can qualify either through racing a sprint or Oly distance), but I *think* the Oly race is full now. HOWEVER... anyone who wants (and if there's still slots available) can sign up for the sprint distance, which is what the DH and I did the other day. OK--thanks Mon and Jen. The "VIP registration" is to get on the Oly wait list, $155, but a full refund--minus a processing fee--if you don't get in. Sounds like a scam. Firstly, expensive oly, secondly, minus the processing fee? They don't tell me how much that processing fee is--$4, fine; $40, not so fine. |

Anyone have any experience using the "live" tracking feature on Map My Ride? Anyone want to try and track my ride this evening and give me feedback? Send me your Name / Username on Map My Ride and I will add you to my friends list. I will be riding today at 3:00 p.m. PST. (in approx 1 1/2 hours.) I want to see how this affects battery consumption, and if it works worth a darn. Would be cool for family (and Manatee Stalkers) to track me during races. I would try to help you out but I can't get the app on my phone. I haven't used it in a while and I inadvertently switched to the UK itunes while trying to get a TdF app, and now I can't get back to the US store |

I registered for the sprint as the $85 was a much more reasonable price IMO, but the "processing fee" is a total scam at $10. For... what, exactly? For the courtesy of running a credit card? At MOST, the CC company will charge you 1.75-2% of the amount being charged as a fee... so how the hell do they come up with $10? Anyhoo... enough about the complaining, I'm going because I want to have fun and see some people on BT that I haven't seen in entirely too long, and to meet some Manatees! (Salty's doing the Oly distance so she'll be there too that weekend - woot!) |

That just means doing well enough at another USAT sanctioned race though. I forget what the cut-off date is though, usually mid to late July-ish I think. I qualified for this year, but already had another event I wanted to do on that day. And also something on Sunday. |

I just paid for the "MVP" membership on MayMyRide... this allows me to broadcast my rides live. Anyone that is my "friend" on MapMyRide can view my live broadcasts. If you don't have an account with them - just go to the website (I don't think you have to get the app on your phone)... create your free account, then search for me. Muskrat37 - Gig Harbor, WA (I think it's case sensitive). When you add me as your friend, you will have access to my "live" workouts. This will be awesome for next weeks race - if anyone wants to track my bike... (and I think it will work for the run too, although I'm not sure if you need a separate MyMyRun account). You get to see where I am on a map - and you can see stats (speed, pace, and it even has an elevation chart (not sure how accurate that is))... all Live... How cool is that? Totally free to you, since I paid for the upgrade. |

DH asked if he should shave to go out to dinner...he knows I have a love of scruffy, but that two-day stage is just painful. My answer??? "Yes, since you're planning on kissing me... It just arrived, and I'm loathe to take it off. Maybe just wear it in the car?
