OK,

This may get vague but I need your help.  There is a new TV commercial (I'm not sure what it was for, since I was working on the house and it was on in the back ground).  I have been singing the one verse I know for the last 3 hours....

Starts with kind of an orchistra opening, then goes (I'm paraphrasing)

Baby!... I'm sitting in the flowers, I could do it for hours, it's a beautiful daaaaaayyyyyyy.

The name is on the tip of my tongue, I think it came out in the 70's......

Any help....

It's used in an AT&T wireless commercial for Mother's Day. 

G-DAMN!!!  That was FAST!!!!  WOOHOO, That's it!!!!!!

Now i can download it and have it my head for weeks.  Cool!

The song is a Europop strings and flutes affair that was very popular in mainland Europe at the time, although this popularity didn't make it to English speaking countries, despite the song being in English (it only charted at 41 in the UK Charts). Recently, however, this song has become quite popular (especially for extracts and samples) with trip-hop and electronica bands. It has even been (mistakenly) credited as having created the Bristol Sound, although the sample that Portishead and Tricky used for "Glory Box" and "Hell Is Round the Corner" respectively is in fact from the similar sounding Isaac Hayes track "Ike's Rap II" from his 1971 album Black Moses.

Nevertheless, Daydream has been sampled so many times that it is now extremely well-known, although most people have forgotten The Wallace Collection. Although often sampled by other artists, it takes its melody from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake ballet.

You do that to me a lot though.  I always have in the back of my head that you have some pretty strong basic beliefs and so I respect them, and I think it's pretty cool, really.  Then you say something off the wall and I have to catch myself before I say something back.  Then I remember that you are about as goofy as shoes on the wrong feet when you are having fun and I understand.  Comprende?

It's Garage sale day today!

Do any of you do the rummage rumble?

My MIL has a huge annual garage sale, and this year it's gonna be interesting.  Y'see, the SuperWalmart that was just built across the highway from her driveway is Grand Opening today.  So we're advertising "Even Lower Prices".  There are probably 8 families who brought stuff over, and I just found more books I can part with.  I'm leaving early to go count change.  Wish me luck selling my 4 antique chairs with the caning ripped out...

It wouldn't affect me...I'm too slow to catch onto anything.
