Yay!  I measured for the first time since I started Couch to Sprint in the middle of August...lost an inch in my waist and hips.  Woo Hoo!!

Not to correct Josh (The College Student) or anything but a pound of fat and a pound of muscle "weigh" the same.  The muscle pound is just packed a lot tighter.


I was talking by volume not weight. For instance, and you know this, the amount of fat filling a one cup pyrex jar will weigh less than the same jar containing muscle. Nice try though!

I do believe I'm the clumsiest person in the world. I stumbled getting up from my seat on Saturday at a wedding reception which left my friend thinking that I was drunk. Last night going through the break room at work, they were mopping and I slipped, rolled my ankle and fell square on my knee. I didn't even know what was happening until I was down on the floor. Perhaps I need some training wheels to help me with complicated stuff like walking.

I am now left to wait to start my training until my whole right leg isn't sore from the trauma I insist on putting it through. I just need one thing in my life to go right for a little so I can feel a little sense of hope.

Damn Saling, just saw the photos... Eat a sandwhich already!!! By the end of P90X you'll either be the one person on the planet with the least amount of BF, or on an IV, or worse... J/K you look great! And ARX will definately help bring out those core muscles. It took me almost 4 1/2 wks to get used to the modified version, so I feel your pain. Keep pressing play!

I ran 5.52 miles this AM and did 8 secs per mile faster than my best time.  Not bd for not running much lately.  It was a pretty easy run I thought,  so apparently I am getting better as I get older....

I went the other way today. Ran the GR Marathon as prep for IMAZ and it hurt like he#^. I just thought you could maybe have one long run of 13 and just go do one of these things Wink

I had to make it up, using portions of the regular P90 routine and adding parts of P90X to it. I stuck with the same concept of 11-13 ab exercises and between 25-30 reps. Still killer...

I have really been hitting the fridge hard these past couple of days, I would doubt if I'm back above 190 for a couple of weeks... Besides I just had midterms and I've been stress eating too. God I wish school was over!!!

Well, after a family dinner last night, a birthday dinner for someone tonight, and then another dinner out planned Tuesday night...I certainly won't be losing anything from dieting this week.  Guess I'll just have to create my calorie deficit from exercise instead!

Thanx, but my classes are really easy. It's more or less fueling myself so I can keep going. Most of my tests I aced, which is good, but at what cost? I've realized a portion of my brain allows for extended information retention, it's just hard shutting it off. Which means that my brain is using more glucose than normal, and thereby the fuel stores need replenishing more often. Defense mechanism, anyone???? And today, I'm snapping at everyone, just irritated by the slightest little things. I need chocolate!
