pdbman - 2010-11-29 3:13 PM I made some progress but did it the hard way. Been sick and lost some weight. Down to 195.8. All of a sudden that goal is looking like a possibility again.

Feel better soon! You just got over some illness didn't you?

AbbieR - 2010-11-29 10:12 PM It was a long, unhealthy weekend for me   Today I made a commitment to nutrition again and have done very well.  I'm not getting on the scale yet.....I need to get myself back on track for a while before I'm able to look at the numbers on the scale.  My motivation goes beyond the scale and having just jumped into this I will only fixate on the scale, which should not be the only goal.

What other goals are have you layed out for yourself?

I use body measurement in combination with weight, trying to eat as nutritiously as possible, as well as training goals such as completing 3 runs and 3 bikes every week.

dimplespoo - 2010-11-30 7:39 AM back down after being UP, back down to 147.8. Now to keep that trend continuing. Leaving tomorrow for my parents until Monday so I will weigh hopefully before I leave and then when I am back on my own scale on Tuesday morning.

Have a good week at your parents!

200.4 Yesterday
199.2 Today

Holiday was not good to me.  In addition, I strained my back on Saturday carrying and putting together a new giant entertainment shelf unit for the basement (getting ready for Santa to bring a Wii and moving the big TV into the basement---shh!).  Sunday was spent in severe pain.  Monday was better but still got sharp severe pain that stopped my breathing for a few seconds.  Doctor gave me Vicodin...today is better but still painful to move my back.  X-ray tomorrow morning.  I think it is just a horrible strain but still will get teh x-ray as a precaution.  I am going stir crazy just thinking about not working out!!!

I'll get the spreadsheet updated soon.

Last day of November everyone! One month left.

Yesterday I reassessed my goals and updated the action steps to reach them. I have a great goal setting worksheet if any of you would like a copy. If you want one send your email to me in a private message and I will send them out. I complete a goal setting sheet monthly, but you can use it longer or shorter term depending on your needs.

I also did my monthly measurements today. No change for me compared to the end of October. Boo hoo, there's always December!!

So far so good on the holidays.  My weight is maintaining.  I certainly ate less than usual for T-day, but still had more potatoes & bread than I normally eat.  Holiday parties start this week, so we shall see!

Sorry to all who were sick or got hurt over the weekend ... starting to sound like an epidemic!

For now I just want to get back to weight training, better eating (I have given up sugar again and back to Paleo) and increasing my water consumption.  I will focus on that for a about 2 weeks, then adjust/set new goals.  I will take pics again of my body.  My size 4 jeans are not comfy so that will be the main goal!

I've been sick for about a week now.  I'm starting to feel better now. I actually have an appetite for the first time since I got sick so that's a good sign. I'm hoping my wife will let me go for a run in the next day or so.

I'm curious. The storm that dumped over a foot of snow on us over the weekend has continued east and seems to be getting stronger instead of dieing out. Just wondering how much snow it dumped on you guys in the great lakes region.

Anyone interested in doing a 30 day run challenge?  Since tomorrow is Dec. 1, I thought it would be a cool thing to do the end the year.  Any takers?

Hmm maybe... what are the rules?? Run every day or run a certain number of miles?

I was just wondering that too. Running any more than 3x a week for me is a recipe for injury. I want to run 4 or 5 times a week, but not even 4 worked out. I just made a new training schedule on BT today and have 4 runs per week, but on one day I do two in the same session so I have more non-run days.

NO set miles per day, just run everyday or maybe at  least every other day?  I'm up for suggestions.
