Elite 7783 PEI, Canada | Subject: RE: SBR Utopia - OPEN brigby1 - 2012-12-30 6:38 PM Just about 66 miles running in the past week, on a sore calf. Everything was easy or less, so never really stressed things, walked as needed for short bits. Calf should never feel like it's working. Ran 6/7 days and twice a day for each. No way was I getting to that total without all the doubles. Both runs today were great, and well within the normal easy range again. Wow, congrats! That's a lot of running. I've never done 66 km in a week, let alone miles, LOL Edited by axteraa 2012-12-30 4:41 PM |

I just started experimenting with doubles the past 2 weeks. Except only one double a week...not 6. They aren't as bad as I thought they would be, and if I was a pure runner, I'd definately incorporate more of them. |

Master 10208 Northern IL | Subject: RE: SBR Utopia - OPEN Normally I do 3 doubles and the mileage distribution is quite different. With the calf bugging me, I took advantage of having the week off to shift it around to a bunch of runs that were easily manageable. The other pattern would have likely been 40-45 miles by running within my limits each time. It really works, but need to have the mindset in or the frequency can wear on you. 4,300 yds at Masters this evening. A repeating ladder pattern for the main set (400-300-200-2x100; 300-200-2x100;200-2x100). Rest was never more than 15 sec between anything in that, usually less. My hands & forearms are feeling it as well from everything this week. |

I ended up riding down to the beach and got caught in a downpour so we packed the bikes up and went back north to find sun! tri808 - 2012-12-30 1:44 PM mndymond - 2012-12-30 7:28 AM Debating if I'm going to ride down to Makena beach today and back (family going for the day)...110km ride round trip..mostly flat. Hmmm. We will see what the morning ends up looking like. Isn't it nice to have those type of options...you know...compared to running in the snow. We have options. This morning I ran in the snow. This afternoon I ran on ice. |

Fortunately for me, the extra runs that are "optional" for me are usually after work and I usually have about an hour to kill before going to masters or to wait out some of the rush hour traffic. So often times I may not "feel" like running, but it's not like I have anything better to do...LOL. |

Payson, AZ | Subject: RE: SBR Utopia - OPEN Today I am going to let the Canadian side of me out and go run in a pile of fresh new snow while it continues to snow. We've had snow here already but this is the nice fluffy fun to run in stuff. I might even let the dogs in on the fun. Although this does mean running right after strength training and running in the dark. |

The oldest is 6 and by far the most accomplished triathlete in the family. He did four races the past summer - in his AG he won two, 2nd in one and 3rd in his first. He's a year-round swimmer, so he dominated the swim. He isn't that strong on the bike. He last race he got passed on the bike and the other kid put a pretty good lead on him. He almost chased him down in the chute. If he had just about 10 more meters, he would have taken it down. This is him in the finishing chute. They had him losing by two seconds. It's all incredibly fun. If the 3yo daughter takes an interest, she will be fierce.
That is awesome. We put on a kid's tri here every year and it's so much fun, I enjoy it way more than watching adults race, LOL. |

After 3 c sections, all I can manage are crunches. |
