Maybe we should conference call Kim!  Would be good to hear her reaction!!!!

It looks like a three week taper of sorts, 10 hours, 14 hours, 10 hours, but those are usually the high intensity weeks so you're right, it isn't easy, just less time.  My biggest three weeks started today, 20, 20, 20.  Very different from last year though.  Volume is only 2/3 of what it was during IM training with my old coach.

Ha!  I left to go see my mom.  You know how moms are about answering phone calls when you're spending time with them.  Where is Kim anyway? checking out new seats no doubt.

Wah! My ears were ringing. Speaking of moms and phones, we were with ours for K's mom's birthday lunch and phone shopping, they are on our plan...very resistant to change, but my Mom did agree to a smart phone because it was purple! At least now she can check email without booting up the desktop. What is this 48 days business you speak of? Surely, you jest, seems like yesterday John was signing me up as a 46 y.o. Female astronaut or something like that..

Hi gang, I have been gone for a lil, thanks Suzy for checking up on me. I did have a race Saturday and I am working on my race report and wil try and post it as soon as I can, but let me just ay this, racing in heat adds a whoooooole new element to what is already not an easy task. Right now I am at the hospital because I had to take my father to the ER for which they are currently diagnosing as "pneumonia" but still have more tests to be run.

Ok MG, I did another LT this morning... This time a 174 result.  That is down about 8 bpm from last time and it changes my zones a little closer to where I have been training.

But here's the cool part... Pace is faster by nearly a full minute overall!  WOOHOO!  I worn my only HRM watch (dead battery, story in my blog), therefore I was unable to watch the pace during the run... probably a good thing, had I known I was running that fast I probably would have psyched myself out.

Anyway, there it is...  Happy Tuesday everybody!

Happy Dance for you!!!!  Great progress.

Andre--how is your dad?

Still hot and humid in WI.  I've determined this is great practice for the IM WI heat!  Only problem is many of the lakes remain closed due to blue green algea and e coli.  EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEwwwwww!  Need some cooler weather to take it away, hopefully before the weekend.
