A bit off topic but for all those planning on doing the Houston half or marathon in 2011.  It's now a lottery system since it sold out so quickly last year.  I am not happy about this.....

Please, 7:13 with your 'training' would hardly be what I call slow... damn talented runners! You do have bigger fish to fry than me though, BSLT in 3 weeks!

I heard about this - I don't think anybody is happy about it.

No big lines for the Dallas races and cheaper. Just signed up for the White rock Half. Yes I know its a running race. Going to borrow JC legs for that one.

C'mon Houston peeps... stay positive about the marathon! All of us who wish to run the race will get in! 

But if you don't... Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Seabrook... lots of good 26.2's very close!  13.1's... heck there are 3 or 4 of those right here in Houston! 

I am more PO'd at having to pay $115 to run.  In 2004, I paid $65!  and now there are twice as many frickin' people doing it... and you could register the Saturday of the expo!  All these darn bandwagon runners!

When's the White Rock Half?

Also not happy about the lottery for Houston.  Was planning on running (the half) with a friend from Dallas, and had my heart set an a flat & fast, super speedy race.

ohhh Vegas!  love it (the city)... I'd be hard pressed to run there, cuz I am certain I'd be hung over by race start and hair of the dawg after!

Houston will announce the lottery slots in plenty of time to register for Dallas and aybe even Vegas...

Kel... keep shootin' for Houston and if it falls through, then Dallas... BTW, Austin has a great half in Feb!
