I wish I had a valid excuse but even if I didn't take 10 days off last month for vacation but there there is no denying my training has been inconsistent and poor quality... |

Time to pull the trigger on that HIM.BTW, yawl. I think I came back from NOLA with ITBS. What to do? Been using foam roller and the stick. Eating Ibuprofen like candy. Hurts like hell when I run. Nonetheless, did I mention I love my new shoes!!!Great month of training. Biggest bike month so far, the total below includes several trainer rides that I didn't count mileage for.
The trigger has been pulled. Registered for Atomic Man today. Hopefully your IT Band heals quickly. My wife had the same thing happen to her while training for a half mary last year. She wasn't training properly (running infrequently and increasing distance at the same time). She did bounce back after foam rolling, stretching and rest. Sounds like you've got the routine down...just need to give it some time.
Nice! I'm still undecided between it and NashVegas. |

Master 2327 North Alabama | Subject: RE: BamaDC's Mentor Group v4.0 - Closed Sorry Title. I'm here. I took some time off work and went back to our property to keep cutting what will be firewood. Right now, it's mostly just getting it in managable pieces to put on the trailer and haul home. I'm good. I do need another chain saw though. The one I have is about 10yrs old (McCollough) and I just can't keep it running. It seems to overheat and shut down after a while. And the one I'm borrowing would probably couldn't pass as a steak knife... And yes, my training is slacking... But, thanks for checking in on me! |

Master 2372 | Subject: RE: BamaDC's Mentor Group v4.0 - Closed Self-serving update: This evening I completed one of the signature workouts for this upcoming swim - 4000 yards with 6x500 at the end. Ended up doing 5x500 (on 8:00) in 6:58, :59, :00, :00, :59 and used the last as a cool down (prolly 7:15 or so). I'm pretty darn stoked about that effort. Super tough workout. |

Thoughts? I imagine this would work fine. I have another race coming up on May 21, that will probably be wetsuit legal, so I could get 2 uses this season for sure. |

I'm a big fan of the gothic look, hence, the weskit! I have a full and a sleveless from xterra, and love em both. However, you may want to keep an eye on bonktown today, as I saw they will have quintanaroo full suit on sale today for over 70% off. |

I've loaded an 8x12 utility trailer twice already with firewood. I've loaded it 4 times already with branches and debris. Looks like I may be heading ot Tuscaloosa this weekend though. They just opened another road that leads to my grandmothers church and it's missing a roof. We'll see. |

I bought it last year when they went on sale. I've only used it a couple of times but have been happy with it. I had to return it for warranty work after my fall race last year and the xterra customer service was very good. |

Holy Cow it's getting close!! Maybe next years race. I'm in no shape this year, but the swim will be my focus going into next winter, spring. I'm hoping to have my biking and running much improved by next year, so I can focus on the swimming. What better way to do that, than schedule a 5k swim race. |

To answer Robert: No wetsuits allowed. Way too warm for that, anyway. This year might be a bit chillier water, but I'd welcome that. To add: Water in Pensacola Bay is already 77F. No way you want to be in a rubber suit in that: http://www.dep.state.fl.us/northwest/Ecosys/waterquality/outlook.ht... one else joining us that I know of.
