Morning TAN

Flying solo this week. J is off to 'Bama. But he brought me my Dirty Chai in bed before he left. Sometimes my better half really is my better half.

On a much lighter note: I got to work this morning and realized there is a hole through the seam of the pants I am wearing.  Maybe I shouldn't get dressed in the dark...

@#$%$#@ to the "no pic" rule in TAN.

So, it would be bad to tell you exactly which seam me thinks.

I'm actually worried about the swim and my bike breaking. Ol' Blue hasn't let me down yet, but there's always a first time.

Teejaay - 2012-10-16 11:26 AM And the swim .. if you can swim in Lake Michigan you can swim in the Tempe Town Sewer!  Even you could touch the bottom.

Had a buddy from Phoenix who asked me before last year's IMAZ "do they issue antibiotics in the race packets?"

Apparently the water is not good.  This again is coming rom someone who swam in Lake Worth where people were finding black gunk on their face at the finish line that had stuck to them during the swim...

For the IM?  Your bike will not break.  And the swim .. if you can swim in Lake Michigan you can swim in the Tempe Town Sewer!  Even you could touch the bottom.

x2 you will be golden! Maybe a tune-up a few weeks out to be sure there are no suspect cable issues or what not...

I am worried about another IM on ol' Gyna, my nearly-vintage Cervelo One... even the tech guys at Redman were all "oooh we haven't seen one of these in so long!" Undecided

Someone that I don't know posted a picture of me from the Xterra on FB - and were talking about how awesome my fork was back in the early 90's - and people I don't know started commenting about their old mountain bikes and getting all nostalgic.

Yup, I raced on it. Yup, it sucks now. Maybe it's nearing "vintage" so I can be cool again?

You are cool, and the bike has nothing to do with it.

I want to replace my circa 1990 hard tail with exactly the same bike. Coming from a roadie, I simply don't like full suspension and riding on a couch.

Thanks Beautiful... I've been getting more and more nervous for the last few months.

Swim - if I feel like I'm in trouble, roll over and starfish for a bit!

Bike - just keep going

Run - forward is a pace... and crawling is allowed.
