I just realized that HITS is doing a race weekend in Loma Colorado the weekend of May 18!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is the same venue where I did my frigid OLY in October this year!!!!!!!!!!! I've been wanting to do a HITS race and I like the venue but this presents SO many questions. It is 7 weeks after my HIM. Do another HIM? Drop down to OLY? Orrrrr, since the HIM is a training race in the Fink plan go on to the IM . Really hadn't planned on going to IM ever this year. Orrrr, wait and do Lake Havasu in November. The prices are incredible if I make a decision by Jan 18th.

I know, I know, "dooooo eeeeet". But WHICH ONE?!

Asalzwed - 2012-12-28 1:17 PM Gettin' my long run on tomorrow then heading up to Whistler for a few days. We've rented a big azz house (something like 16 of us? I lost count.) I'm leaving the snowboard at home and bringing my running shoes, XC skis, snowshoes and currently researching the amount of boos allowed over the border. Wish me luck!

I would give HITS full races at least a year or two to GTST. The reviews have ranged from mediocre to very unfavorable.

Are you doing Fink Competitive to train for the HIM? In that case, I'd sign up for another HIM (if you really like the venue) and that way you can still drop down to the Oly if training doesn't go as planned.

I've been watching the RR's with interest. It seems most are positive as of late. Most of the complaints now are that it is an underpopulated, and lonely course because HITS hasn't caught on yet. If I sign up by Jan 18th the OLY is only $50 and the half is $75!!!!!!!!

I still say sign up for the half. Like Salty and I said ... if training or race doesn't go as planned for first HIM (or 2nd for that matter) you can always do the Oly. $75 for an Oly in a venue you like is still a good price!

Just 16. It's a step back week so that's good. Ima make it nice and hilly. Check out last weeks. That biggest hill (which I chopped off, oops) is like 600'

I am always impressed. Then again, the largest hill I have is the drawbridge over the Intercoastal Waterway.
