Elite 5316 Alturas, California | Subject: RE: Poison Apples Team Thread Yay, I just finished training 70 staff in a 1-2 day training (not all at once) about crisis prevention that included a written test afterwards and passing the personal safety and physical restraint componnets. The average final score was 95 % accuracy (not my test the companies test). And the hardest part, grading it all, documenting everything and sending the results off to the company that certifies the training. Now off to complete a quality assurance evaluation of a local Head Start, some Psych testing results documentation, staff supervision and I am sure I must have some paperwork to do on some of this.... Oh ya and a 25 mile bike ride. I packed the laptop for the 18 hours of training I have this weekend, not sure about hotel internet connectivity, so enjoy the silence on our webpage while I'm gone.... I'll be logging some mileage. Besides, I'm gradually starting to like my treadmill. It lets me create "instant hills" and such! (OK, so I don't really like it, as much as I just deal with it.) Dee |

It is by NO means intended as an actual Challenge Announcement. ********************************* I want to get feedback from you guys about this. What do you think about a November Challenge where YOU set the goal? Doesn't matter what the goal is: running, elliptical, etc. You set the time/distance and post it. By doing that, you're in the challenge. This would allow everyone to come up with their own goal. And we'd work together to get you there.... Thoughts? Dee |

LOL Well the bumpers may have outposted us, but the werewolves are way ahead of them there with 610 posts and they are on page 21. Then again there are other teams that are only on page 4 or 5. Good thing this challenge isn't about how many posts that your team does. |

Ladders are for climbing not walking under. Mirrors, they all broke years ago and all that bad luck has been used up. Nope, nothing scary about the "Bad Omens" |

I am NOT a morning person... never have beem... always been the person who gets up at the last possible second and ends up dashing out the door to miss the bus... BUT... this year (especially the last few months) I have started getting up at 5-5:30, catching the bus and getting an AM workout in.... I DO have to be in bed by about 9:30 to do it though! But for example this week... I did this 4 times... At some point you want the extra training more I guess.. if I get really tired I take a morning off but even on the weekends now I cant sleep in as late as I used too... You have been warned.. if I can do it anyone can! 5-5:30 in the morning? There are people awake at that hour? Who knew. Although, 5 AM in Sidney is.... 3 PM on in the eastern US? (Yes, of COURSE I did an internet search for that. Do you think I just "knew" it?) See? I knew you never slept. Actually, if we toss in some convoluted thinking.... I was awake at 5 AM Sidney time, too. In fact, I was on my way to the pool. Does that mean we worked out at the same time, half a world away? (Wait, you forgot your pants today, so probably not. And it THAT makes no sense to people here, they'll just have to visit your blog to get up to speed!) Where was I? I've even derailed myself.... Oh yeah. Morning workouts.... I did this a few times. Got in the pool. My brain said, "GO!" and my body replied, "You've GOT to be kidding me.".... But when I finished, I felt pretty good. And I actually DID feel good the whole day. So yeah, I understand why people do it. (That said, I was quite happy to get back to afternoon workouts! LOL) Dee |

Let's see --> Yep. 4 PM in Sidney. 2 AM here. OK, so I'm the one not sleeping, this time. And I don't think that I'll be going to work out at 5:30 AM, considering that I'm still awake at 2! Veteran 228 Greenbelt, MD | Subject: RE: Poison Apples Team Thread Ugh, okay, so getting up and walking after not really sleeping at the station (and having to go out at 4am for 90 minutes for a call) might not have been so good. Lightly strained my calf halfway through my speed walk...walked the rest of the way very slowly and then came home and have it on ice. I'll likely skip tomorrow since I'm going to the Renaissance Festival and will be doing alot of walking (as well as too much eating). I don't think it'll be too bad if I watch it and do a bit of the RICE thing. At least I have no plans today other than a good nap I'm about to take to make up for my general lack of sleep last night. Man if it isn't one thing, it's the other. I definitely feel old that's for sure. Have a good Saturday folks. I'll stop in later to give everyone a cheer after I've caught up on some much needed sleep. I'm so tired I mistakenly posted a new thread instead of posting here....ugh, sleep...must have sleep.... |

Hopefully, it's just a minor one, and you'll be feeling better soon. Personally, I don't feel old. It's just that my body is falling apart, and I refuse to look in the mirror anymore - who knows what I'll see.... Oh wait, kns told us that we can't complain about stuff like this unless we're older than she is. (I'm not sure how old she is, but I'll be optimistic and assume that I'm younger than she. MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Poison Apples Team Thread Does counting running around the library count towards mileage? I feel as if I have done about 3 miles just helping our customers here. I'll be doing my run when I get home tonight. Hope to get 2 miles in and then will have to get up in the morning to get my run in for tomorrow before heading back to work at the library. 10 hours work for today, but only 8 for tomorrow. Hmmm! my age. I think it was mentioned in a way earlier post, and I'm not shy about my grandma status and gray hair, cause I have two beautiful grandsons and will have a granddaughter in December. But it is only 50. Yeah the big 5 0 is what I turned this year. Aches and pains I'm not even going to begin to list, cause if I do the list would never stop and then ya'll will be yelling at me. But I will say that I can't go to sleep at night without some ibuprofen. So...take that as you will. |
