Master 1209 New York, NY | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! I've read that book and it's f'n hilarious. Loved it! No doubt you're stories would be awesome, and I'd totally read them...give it a go!! Nicole83 - 2010-06-15 10:00 AM Kelli! *drool* Awesome blog, thanks for the link! I love cooking too, and will definately be stealing some of those recipes. Good morning gang. I actually have to work today, so I won't be nearly as entertaining as I was yesterday... but if you have a chance check out my TL and give me your oponion on my entry yesterday. Sometimes things that sound great in my brain make other people look at me like I've sprouted an extra nipple out of my forehead, so I need feedback. |

Nicole, I don't think any of the guys are going to be able to respond after reading that entry. Their hands are busy protecting their dingleberrys and unable to type at the moment. I say GO FOR IT! I'm still laughing. I bet the nurses at the ED have that one logged into their funny album as well. |

Pro 4482 NJ | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Ok, here's my random fact. Growing up I rode horsed competitively in what is called Eventing. It is a bit like triathlon. Horse and rider compete in 3 different disciplines over 2 or 3 days. Dressage (like watching paint dry to the uninitiated), cross-country (riding hell-bent for leather through open fields and woods jumping big, bad- obstacles) and the finale show jumping (just to show you and the horse are still able to move.) I took a hiatus during college and only ride occasionally for pleasure now, but I seriously love the sport. |

If you write about an extra nipple coming out of your forehead I say best seller. I think you should totally go for it. I'm betting it'd be as entertaining as hell. |

Pro 4824 Houston | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Dang! Y'all got busy yesterday. I was occupied holding my little one who wasn't feeling very well. I love hearing about everyones interesting facts, very cool. While on my run yesterday I noticed all the flags out and remembered it was flag day and then it hit me - 30 years ago yesterday I was laying on a table in a hospital bleeding to death, literally. I coded at one point. Don't need to go into the whole story but it struck me that I was running. I wans't running fast but on that day we weren't sure I was going to make it so the fact that I was running really hit me. I got emotional for a minute which slowed me down and then I felt lucky, a nice breeze hit and I was able to pick up the pace again. I am a lucky girl. So if you haven't posted your interesting fact we'd still love to hear it! |

Extreme Veteran 521 | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! A few interesting facts (I couldn't figure out which one to post, so what the heck...here's three)... I was the first female sportscaster in Amarillo television history. Was the Houston Youth Bowler of the Year and also bowled on national television my freshman year in college - we finished third in the national championship that season. |

I'm a big fan of Dave Sedaris and Augsen Burroughs and the twisted way they write. I'm not a huge Chelsea fan but maybe I'll pick up her book. |

Master 1623 | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! I love dressage, but it's definitely something you have to understand to actually enjoy watching. I never got to try out cross country any, but I always wanted to. I love that there's another horse person in the group. kcarroll - 2010-06-15 10:41 AM Ok, here's my random fact. Master 1623 | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Facts about me hmmmm.... I'm sure I've mentioned already that I'm from Sweden and still speak Swedish fluently. I'm cursed. Anytime my dad spends more than a week overseas for work, the day he comes home, he's usually greeted by my mom or a family friend telling him I'm in the ER. Once for running into a car and breaking half of my tooth off ... Irony of the situation, I was running inside to get a jaw breaker. Another time I fell off a horse and broke my wrist. I rode for 7ish years before coming to college. Right before I had to give up riding regularly, I was at the point where I was jumping 2 foot 9 inch jumps and perfecting my training level dressage. I know I've mentioned Oscar before, the 15.3 hand, sway backed, pigeon toed horse who had more back problems than any person I've ever known. He had a chiropractor and even got acupuncture. He wasn't my horse but I was the only one who rode him and took care of him. He'd act up for everyone else, but for some reason he never did for me. Cool fact about Oscar: He's an Irish Hunter that was imported to Germany then came to the states. His owner can tell him to stand in German and walk off and he won't move until she comes back. |

Extreme Veteran 380 Houston | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Fun facts: I turned 21 (to the minute) inside a turbine generator in the belly of an aircarft carrier (not drunk). I flew out to the carrier in a helicopter and was launched off the deck in a jet (two highlights of my time on the ship). I have never broken a bone or had any stitches. No althletic highlights - I was better at downhill skiing than anything else when I was a kid and that hasn't come in very handy lately in Texas. Been on snow once in the past 10 years. |

Sorry to be weighing in so late on this, but I just had to comment on Justin's weight loss post: Dude, that's the most inspirational thing I have seen in a LONG time. Making it doubly great is that now you're FAST! (must be young ) Also, Eric: You're superhuman. Except for the socks. But wait, Superman wore socks, right? |

I can touch my nose with my tongue - nice!! Keri told me to stop licking my eyebrows in public. Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn-out, and loudly proclaiming: “WOW!! What a ride!” Ultra Marathon Man I like your quote - I would add flipped over and on fire to the list. No sense coasting! Edited by I KENOTT swim 2010-06-15 11:34 AM |

Payson, AZ | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Is it just me or is it normal to always be hungry when training for a HIM? I can't even imagine what next year might be when training for a IM. I eat pretty much non-stop and when I am not eating I'm pretty much thinking what I will eat next. Granted all my food is not "healthy" but the majority of it is. Tina claims we'll go broke with all my eating. Just have to make it 30 more minutes or so before I can eat lunch... |
