OK since they are obviously slow on posting I'm going to go head and tell you all.  I gave them the chance.  Yes, everyone is going to get the embroidered jacket.  They were supposed to post a message on the CdA site today.  Guess that did not happen.

They were very apologetic and thanked me for making a stink about it.

I also got my jacket this morning. I havent personally seen it but from what I gather its the 'second edition' with the true embroidered logo. Again nice to have it but too bad it took this long although its not like I would have used it anyway with it being summer. I didnt get the original jacket due to living in Seattle. (seemed the further West you lived the slower it took to get).

So now my IM CdA experience is complete:

Got the Finishers Medal....Got my Pics.....Got the Tattoo.....Got the Jacket.

Now im retired to the couch. After 6+ months of nothing but Ironman talk and training and prep its break time. After watching 2 of my friends do IM Canada in 2+ weeks Im then off to Vegas for 4 days.

I will not care what I eat. I will not care if I stay up late. I will not have to do a 'brick'.

Im likin' this Ironman Recovery thing......!!

Ah, so that explains it.  I finally got my jacket today.  I never got one of the original bad ones.  I was pleasantly surprised to see the embroidered logo on the one I received so I figured something was up. I'm quite pleased with it.  Let's see if I can upload a picture ...

mrwrite - 2011-08-10 2:00 AM OK, I'm bugged now. I got the "original" one a few weeks ago and have not received a response on my email. The one we were promised at CDA is much better than the one I have. Or maybe they're just responding to complaints in order of IM time, so I might not hear back for a while.

I just received mine on Friday and it is the good embroidered one. I never sent an email (I was waiting until I received the jacket). And my finish time was after yours, so I know that isn't the order that they are sending the good jackets.

A friend of mine emailed the president of WTC - [email protected] and received a response and the good jacket.

That is sweet!!  Can you post a picture of the back?  Does it have the distances on the back like the ones we were promised?

We do apologize, and we are taking steps to rectify this situation. We are going to be offering a replacement embroidered jacket to any customer who purchased the original jacket on site in CDA June 27, 2011. Please refer to the Ironman CDA website in the following week for instructions on how to do so.

That jacket is much better!

I am in the process of returning my crappy jacket for the nicer one.  Did anyone successfully do that yet?  I ask because I want them to pay for shipping the first jacket back :P
