(That have to do with swimming and biking and running....) Judi - just saw your photos on facebook! They are great!!! I had to laugh at the note about having an interest other than cycling.... I have had an old school friend get in touch... turns out he is living in the outskirts of Sydney so my try and see him sometime.... anyway he asked me what I do besides swim/bike/run and I had to think REALLY hard about it... Ummm I *watch* cycling.. thats a separate hobby right?  I suppose you could add to the list: - Shopping (for bikes) - Checking out guys (who are riding bikes) - Photography (of bikes) - Modeling (for posing during races) See! You're a very well-rounded person! Lol - thanks Dee!!! At the time I really felt like there should be more to my life... weird how people thing the cycling/running etc thing is something you do.... but not a nice well rounded 'interest' as such! |

I also knit. I think that makes me well rounded. You're working on your PhD. You're not supposed to be well-rounded. LOL |

They never did post the official results from my 5K last month. (This is the one they took photos for.) When they tried to post it, the names didn't match the chip numbers. I'm thinking they never got it straightened out. As a result, they couldn't match up the photos.... AND I also wonder if the winners got their prize money! (Not that I was going to get any money, personally. I was happy just to finish. LOL) |

(Not that I was going to get any money, personally. I was happy just to finish. LOL) There were issues with the chips matching names today, too. I think it got screwed up when they tried to reset after the failed swim start. They actually started a wave and then canceled it halfway through. Some of the people finished and were really unhappy with the situation. We have some unofficial times for each portion, so I'm not too worried. I'll just post that if we don't hear anything by the end of tomorrow. |

I get the feeling the thoughts are something like: - Cycling etc is like going to the gym... something you do that takes time but not something you are actively 'interested' in - Things people are interested in is more like cars or playing music or cooking or sewing etc Weird huh? |

Yuck! Thats how I felt last weekend after the race... it took FOREVER to get warm... You have my sympathy... I find a good feed helps |
