Quick note. I promise more later. THANK YOU ALL!!! Tiana I was so surprised to see you when I came out of T2. Very sorry to hear but there will be other. Take care of that ankle!! So great to race with Linda and Justin. Those two are badasses and such wonderful people. I wish Doug made it down Great swim but perhaps left some out there as i was to dang wide on the second lap. Bike was hot, nasty wreck ~100 feet in front of me at mile 105 so i hung out with the dude until the police got there. It was really scary I wish I had a better run. My stomach locked up at mile 3. Sucked. I have 5432 blisters on my feet. but overall I'm very happy with the race. Very cool to have David catch me. Great to meet Jayne. Yes Trev she is hot. I'll post the pic I sent Kim tomorrow, then you'll understand. :-). Thank you guys so much for everything!!! You guys rock!!! Sorry for iPad formatting!

Well done IMFL IM'ers, hope you enjoyed the experience, sounds like Jayne had a great time too!

I did the Noosa Tri this morning and got a PR of 2:41 with a 50min run split despite no recent running to speak of. The uphill treadmill walking must work, I had a really strong finish and my legs felt pretty good.

The elites were in mid-race as I got ready to start and I saw Macca run out from transition, Crowie crashed on the bike. Pete Jacobs, Caroline Steffen, Liz Blatchford were all there but the winners were 2 young up and comers.

I'm home and trying to process everything I've experienced in the past few days.  How awesome and amazing.  First, I want to say how great it was to meet John (Jarrett and the kids), Linda, David & Tiana.  I have the picture Jacy (John's daughter) colored for me on my frig Laughing.  Congrats on #2 John and Linda.  Sorry your day was cut short, Tianna.  You were not alone.  That looked like a brutal swim.

I volunteered in the women's changing tent at T1.  This is the story that keeps replaying in my mind.  One woman came in, she handed me her bag and took a seat.  I emptied out her things and asked her what she needed first.  When I looked up, her eyes were filled with tears.  It was a rough swim out there.  I asked if she was alright and she said, "I was here in 2009 and didn't make the swim." It was all she could do to hold back the emotions she was feeling.  I told her that I was so damn proud of her and we went back to work getting her ready for her ride.  I don't know how the rest of her day turned out, but that was enough to know it was a success.

Ok, another story.  The pros came in and Rinny came right to me and in the blink of an eye, her wetsuit was off (she did it herself), I handed her helmet and glasses to her(shoes were on the bike), gave her a pat on the back and told here to have a great race, and she was gone.  I want to contrast that to the last few swimmers that came through.  They were hurting.  Many had been sick the entire swim, many were shaken, and a lot were nearing hypothermia.  At one point I looked over and two volunteers were on either side of a woman and had her in a great big hug trying to warm her up.  I was inspired and humbled by it all.  I've never been thanked so many times in my entire life.  What an awesome community!

I would say you had an amazing first IM experience.  Congrats.  Interestingly, I didn't hear a thing about chaos and nudity.  Poor Trevor and John!

Way cool that you got Rinny.  Was the water that cold that people were nearing hypothermia?
