You should be swimming but not more than your have been averaging over the past 6 weeks or so... bzgl40 - 2010-06-17 10:54 AM [whine]But mommy I don't want to swim no more.[/whine] Wow, how is it I am a week (give or take) out from my HIM and they had me do my biggest swim week to date? I've decided that a fish is the person who wrote the BT plans. ETA: I suppose if they are a fish they can't also be a person. Awesome English I got going there |

Master 1623 | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! My sister gave blood for the first time a couple weeks ago. She's the only one in my family who isn't disqualified for having lived in Sweden for over 5 years (she was only 3 when we moved) She almost passed out twice. Once while she was giving blood and then halfway to the car. Apparently she couldn't hear well either because she was practically screaming at the nurse when the nurse asked her if she wanted a cookie. Not to mention she has the tiniest veins ever so it took them a long time to find a good one... I think she may have been scared out of ever giving blood again. Trin2bfast - 2010-06-17 12:58 PM I was a slooow bleeder... my precious fluid did not want to leave it's warm & loving home! And yes the nutter butter cookies were delicious! The t-shirt is a Tapout logo knock off... ha! bzgl40 - 2010-06-17 11:14 AM Trin2bfast - 2010-06-17 9:09 AM Well... just finished up donating blood. The first time for me! Good times. I tend to get to competitive with the person in the chair next to me and pump it out too fast and then spend the next 30 minutes laying down so I don't pass out. But, that does leave me extra time to stay there and eat more cookies. So it is a win win. I have the best time of the office but I forget what that time is. I should have documented it. They love my veins to. Super easy to find. |

Expert 1323 Rowlett, TX | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! OK since I am still learning how to set up a running plan I am going to post up my running plans I have made out focusing on my OLY in OCT. Please give any critique you see fit, especially from our soon to be USAT coach/secret venture person on staff. So looking at the McMillian running calculator I get these times and added in my HR ranges. My run needs the most work and I need to have more define goals with each run.

Extreme Veteran 380 Houston | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! trying1 - 2010-06-17 10:21 AM If anyone has an 09 felt b12 or b16 (unfortunately like me) there maybe some major issues with the fork. Checkout the link from slowtwitch. felt Thanks for posting this. It may be a pipe dream if stuff doesn't stop breaking 'round here but I was interested in the '09 Felt B12. I will certainly ask about the fork if we get to Spring and that bike is still one of the top bikes on my list. I was hoping to find a closeout on the '09 when the 2010 models are up for grabs. Thanks again! Justin - As for the stirring of the pot / BFF smack talk ....JP knows I am trying to beat him and I expect the same from him. We don't need to lie down the gauntlet, it is assumed we are racing every time we get on the bike, in the water or on the run course (during a race). I am forming my race plan already in hopes that JP gets into Bridgeland. I will be riding that bike course at least 20 times by the time the gun goes off. I ain't given up. I may even swim that dang duck pond when no one is looking (LOL). Part of the strategy was to give him the impression I was doomed due to my slow as a turtle swim. Thanks for wrecking my race strategy. Now he knows the truth that I will be training each time with the hopes to swim, bike & run just a bit faster than ever before. (kind of a given). I might even show up with race wheels and a pointy helmet...who knows?!?!? Actually strike that - the only way for either to happen is to borrow and EVERYONE is already in this race (except JP). Gonna have to beat the aero parts with just my motor. |

Master 1623 | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Since I only have one more year left in college... side note: how on earth did this happen? There's no way I moved into my freshmen dorm 3 years ago this coming August!! I don't wanna leave!!!!!!!!! ... Ahem as I was saying, I've decided I should start working on my cooking abilities and getting that house cleaning on a regular basis down this year since let's face it James considers heating up a frozen pizza to be cooking, I'll be the cook in the household. So like 6 months ago I was watching the Doctors on tv and they had this woman on there named Lisa Lillien who had written a couple cookbooks titled HUngry Girl. They were quick, easy meals that looked delicious and were actually good for you. Since then I've been looking for the book everywhere since I refuse to get cookbooks on my nook... I just dont think it's practical to have a recipe on an ereader .... finally found it at Wal-mart today. I'm so excited, I know I'll spend all night searching for recipes to start making. Hoping to try out some recipes this weekend! By the way, Kelli I loved your blog and I told James about it. He wants to try out some of the recipes you have on there. |

And yep, you do have to dive off that thing...you could always use the technique one of the 6-year-olds did last week...all ready on the blocks, looking like Phelps...and then the horn goes off and he jumps feet first in the water and starts his swim! I think that method, plus the BT Speedo would go hand in hand! Would love to have you join us if you want to make the trip. Newtons1st - 2010-06-17 9:23 AM What part of Texas is this swim meet in? I could be up for a drive. Do I have to dive off that thing? This would be a great place to debut the Bonnie Tyler Speedo. |

Emma, I love Hungry Girl and use a lot of those recipes. Super easy and tasty. For what it's worth, when I graduated college I could cook most anything that could be microwaved, and nothing outside of that. I remember the first time I ever tried to boil water on the stove I ended up setting a plastic spatula on fire. Yes, I realize now that a spatula is probably not the most effective cooking tool as it relates to boiling water AND that you shouldn't leave it touching the burner on a stove top. Chris still won't let me live that down. But in my defense, I am now a very good cook. Happy Friday gang! My hangover has subsided and I'm at the bloated need 10 gallons of water stage of it. Gotta love when it lasts for 2 days, that's one heck of a hangover. |

Payson, AZ | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! Pre-race breakfast: So, I am camping for my race next weekend which means breakfast choices are limited. Which is pretty typical I would think as a lot of people travel for their races. So I was thinking a peanut butter and jam sandwich and maybe a banana. But, everytime I open my fridge I see the box of Snickers bars and think to myself...that would make a darn good pre-race breakfast. What are some of your favoriate pre-race/pre-long workout breakfasts given that you are at home and have no restrictions? What about when you travel and have restrictions? For bike rides I like oatmeal with peanut butter and jam mixed into it but could never do that for a run. For a run I usually just have toast. Sometimes, if I wait to long before heading out, I have to supplement that with a oatmeal peanut butter chocolate chunk cookie. I tell you, I have never had a bad run when eating that cookie first. |

Pool swim (cuz the lake still has ICE around the shore). nice... |

They stay with me fora good long time, taste great and have very little processed ingredients. I make mine with Dates, Flax seeds, Pineapple, coconut, honey, and almonds. Or dates, Flax seed, almonds, Blueberries, cranberries, cherries and maple syrup. |

One of my easy travel breakfasts is an Odwalla bar the chocolate chip ones of course. 7 grams of protein, 33 carbs, 230 calories 8g fat and super yummy especially with a cup of coffee. My favorite real food on a bike ride is Fig Newtons - fruit & cake - you can't go wrong I am doing a Father's Day 5K tomorrow, it has been over a year since I did just a 5K and I think it will be good to see where I am. Kerianne (8) and Avery (6) will be doing the kids fun run with Ken. |

I have a sprint coming up in a couple weeks and think I will try out your oatmeal peanut butter chocolate chunk cookie strategy. Just as a test. We need an n ≥ 2 to confirm your hypothesis. bzgl40 - 2010-06-18 9:36 AM Pre-race breakfast: So, I am camping for my race next weekend which means breakfast choices are limited.
