WOW, I just woke up and realized it's Wednesday!!!!

Ok, not really....I actually forgot it was Wendesday.....thankfully someone who writes late RR's reminded me!!  So, who is brave enough to swim the swim, bike the bike and run the run this weekend???  Details Peeps, including strategy.

I'm in.  IronGirl Columbia.  I'm all excited b/c I'm in the 4th wave.  Woo Hoo - not bad when there are 15.  Usually I'm at the tail end of things.  This is my last tri of the year.  I hope to have fun and put forth a good effort.

Dineen--have fun on that ride, but don't cook yourself.  Your working on becoming Kim-like on the run!  Oh to be Kim / Julie / RP / Terp's - like on the run ..... only in my dreams with "this" Hockey player build!  But, I ......  WILL ..... get ..... FASTER!  Rob, you got my back on this one?

My news, I found out last night that I was first in my AG at the Dairyland Dare 150K by a decent margin almost an Hour!! (Who is being Modest now? .... Pocket Rocket, yes, I think I agree with Robbie V! ) and the 3rd female OA.  I sure hope that translates into a better bike split in a few weeks! Both you and Kim are going to ROCK MOO.  I can't wait to watch the "race" and "splits" unfold during the day! The way I envision the day unfolding ...Outta the water .... its a draw, depends on nerves, etc.,  Off the bike .... Suzy,  On the Run ....  Kim, but can she close the gap and catch her?   Laughing

Fixed that for ya .... and terp'ed it on purpose just because it's Thursday.

No competition between the Twins!!!!  NONE, forbid it.  We each run our own race, hit our own goals and high five at the finish line having left it out there!  It's the one place where individual accomplishments reign.

And for Twin and Dineen and anyone else who might be coming to town.  It's real.  The trucks are arriving for staging!

I just learned there are over 3100 races for Canada.  That swim draft is going to be unbelievable!   Providing you can survive the first 5 minutes!

Last year there were supposed to be 2800 IM MOO racers and I think there were 2200 at the start.  We have the same phenomenon going on for MOO.  3,000 signed up due to WTC letting firefighters/police sign up after the race closed to memorliaze the tragedy on 9/11.  My guess is far fewer than that will start.

PS.  The chaos MAY last a little longer than 5 minutes depending on where you start!  Just sayin'.

The 1st 5 minutes are good (1st 30 or so actually) HOWEVER when you hit the 1st turn it tends to turn into a washing machine in there, but it's no different than any other race.

Thinking I may throw in a 2mile/6mile swim/run on Sunday.  NEED more openwater practice!!!

Tonight, however, I'm heading for a sleep study.  Can't sleep at home, this should be interesting.  I think I get to use my tablet, so you may see me online.

I meant to wish you well on your sleep study!  I had one of those a few years back and they signed me up for surgery soon after to remove some tissue that was causing multiple sleep interruptions/hour.  Life is so much better after the surgery!  No more falling asleep during eye exams...well, not til lately that is!

Also, where are you OWS'ing???

I'm doing the Ride to Conquer Cancer this weekend, 200km (well apparently it's really 237km) over Sat/Sun riding out from Brisbane to Somerset Dam, camping overnight, then riding back to Queensland Uni.

I've managed to raise over $3000 for cancer research which is the most I've ever raised for charity so it's all been worthwhile.

I'm taking another 2 weeks off running to try to fix my knee so the ride will be a nice distraction.

hello people. Finally... I am racing again, this weekend. Doing a super sprint with one of my athletes. Should be very interesting being as I have been training long distances. Not sure about my strategy for this one. I guess swim fast, bike fast and then run like I stole something
Good luck to all our racers this weekend.
David. that is a great cause to do your ride for. If only we can find a cure for cancer sooner than later.

Zone 6,  right Fatty????

that's WTF land right there... a collision of emotion's ranging from a zone 6 heart rate, time to go to work and get the F out of my way.

this, on the other hand, is pure zone 10.

Made through yet another surgery...  Wasn't bad, and pain is fine.  I am able to put weight on it has necessary which is nice.  I don't have to use crutches.  Doctor said not much meniscus left in the leg (send tear and surgery on this same knee).  Also said the tear was pretty big and he was able to scrape a bunch of loose cartilage out of there.  Good things to come.  Back in no time!!! He said 6-8 weeks.  Cut that baby in half.... I'll be back soon.
