That was on par with the 2nd pro finisher...like, how'd that go down? Did you 1) discard your bike, 2) want so badly to get to the run you just didn't care, 3) were you messing with sasquatch? Clue us in, that was a serious transition....
They grab your bike at the dismount - I whipped off my bike shoes so I could run in my socks since you have to run a little ways on concrete (they were already soaked and I was going to be changing them anyway, so I figured that wouldn't matter. Grabbed my bag, ran into the tent, quickly changed socks, threw on my shoes, and ran out. |

The temp this afternoon was only in the mid 60's, so the people who were walking looked especially miserable - I saw people with teeth chattering and looking like they could easily go hypothermic. Send your thoughts out to the people still on the course as it is getting colder now that it is dark, and it is still raining. |
