Hydration, lots of hydration and relaxing.

Really want to focus on racing "MY RACE" and master nutrition. Pacing it's hard when adrenaline goes on overdrive.

Good luck to everybody!!! Have fun this weekend !!!

I hope I can meet some BTers this weekend.

I'll be 2707 on the last wave and I hope you see me cross the finish line!!

Thanks for all the tips, advice, pictures, etc. You'all are awesome.

Cantucan - 2010-09-22 6:10 PM Transition is being built.  Notice the new grass!

So glad to see they put grass down!  Last year even though the ground was covered it was really uneven and you could feel all the potholes and pebbles- made it difficult to run throught barefoot and in bike shoes!

Is that also a new fence?

Here's a totally random question.  Are there any dog lovers doing this race who will be traveling back down to FL?  Reason I'm asking is because I'm associate with "For the Love of Labs" Rescue group and we have a black lab (male, named Brodie) who needs transport from NC to FL this weekend to his forever home.  We can get him to Augusta but haven't found any volunteers in the area to get him from GA to FL.  Or if we can even get from Augusta to Jacksonville, FL that would really help. So seriously- if anyone wants to pick up a furry hitchiker after the race please PM me and I can provide the details.  Thanks!

I am quoted in the paper today.  It is all starting to sink in!  I ran into the Ironman people at Nacho Mama's after our run on Tuesday, I swam the course for the last time last night and will run easy tonight.  The transition area looks amazing!  Here is today's article:  http://chronicle.augusta.com/things-do/applause/2010-09-22/theres-no-wrong-way-watch-ironman

Coming all the way from San Diego and still won't get the "Bull Rider"!  Regardless, it's going to be a fun weekend.  Can't wait to see you and the wife.

Oh, and we had a sign making party last night so we will have plenty

Headed up to Augusta first thing in the morning.  Hope I can stick to my bike pace goal and not get twitchy when I keep getting passed by people.  If I ride it like I'm going to want to it'll be a nice 6 mile run followed by a 7 mile walk.  So if anyone sees #467 going much above 17, feel free to yell out something like "hey first timer, chill out, we gotta run after this ride".

Good luck to everyone, and thanks for all the tips on here for us rookies.

Triathletes really are the best!  Had 2 BT'ers volunteer to drive Brodie, the black lab back from Augusta to FL with them.  Great news- we already found someone else to drive so it's all covered and he will transported this Saturday.  But thanks to those who volunteered- your thoughfulness is much appreciated.  And maybe by offering you'll have good races this weekend!

I was happy to offer.  I am down in Augusta by myself this weekend.  At least until Sunday when my daughter is driving down from Charlotte.  My wife couldn't make the trip, so I was looking foward to the company on the trip back to Orlando.  I think it is a great thing you are doing trying to find homes for these dogs.

I am leaving Charlotte Friday morning at 5:30.  Puts me in Augusta at 8:30AM.  I am going down to the river to do a swim and an easy run afterwards.  Can anyone have a good place for breakfast in Augusta?

Brodie is going to miss out on some nice swimming since he is not coming to Augusta! I am glad to hear he has found a ride to FL.
