Hey group! After a weak performance in February, my mileage is back up where it should be for March. And we still have two more days. Keep up the consistent running, everyone.

103.76 miles in March. I made up some ground, but the bunny is still ahead of me. I hope everyone has a great April Fools' Day.

Guess what, Google has come out with Google Nose. It's awesome!

Since it was Easter, I thought it was only appropriate to let the bunny has his or her way with me, and it took full advantage of a pitiful week.  But I am back today!  <bunny laughs>

This month is the month where I'm gonna figure out how to resolve this blasted PF.  Then I'm gonna go rabbit hunting.

Another month like that and you will put the bunny behind you!

Looks like I am one "good" run behind him today.  might not catch him til the weekend.

Boy my number would be going up (a little) faster if I could count km instead of miles Wink.  Slow and steady right?  Just under 2 miles today.  My Achilles is feeling pretty good.

Hey everyone, winter is over, it is time to come out of hibernation.  The Bunny has had his day (Easter).

Time to start building the training plan, close the gap and pass the bunny this spring and summer building to your race and fitness goals. (and maybe steal his egg as you go by - just for the protein snack of course)

So despite some rough times last month I'm making progress. I've lost 20 lbs since the first of the year. Which considering everything that goes on here is flipping amazing. But I don't really notice where it's coming from. My measurements are all down so I'm losing weight pretty evenly across by body. My pants no longer fit, and I feel better. I finally feel like I'm actually losing weight - not just redistributing it or just one good meal away from my old weight- but looking at before/afters I don't *see* it right now...Well today I picked up 20 lbs of dumbells during my warmup. I could the feel the weight pulling me down. I could feel the added stress on my joints and hear the heavier footfalls on the treadmill. I only held onto them for 1/4 miles but when I dropped the weight I felt the difference. I felt lighter. And when I started my run I felt good. I finished strong and negative split my run, with the last 1/2 mile gradually increasing the speed to 8 mph from 6. I'm making progress. I will get there. I think I might make putting it on again a regular practice. Just to remind myself where I came from. I don't know exactly how much weight I still need to loose - somewhere between 80 - 100 lbs. I was 17 the last time I was under 200 lbs - and 2 inches shorter. So i figure somewhere between 160 and 180 is where I can safely get down to. I'm hoping to be in one-derland by the end of the year. But any progress is good progress.

Wow, awesome job, Erin!  20lbs is fantastic.  And although you can't see it, I bet others can.  Have you taken some pictures of yourself?  Not for anyone but you.  When you see yourself everyday it is harder to notice the difference, but seeing yourself 20lbs ago, it will show.  Take a pic now so that you have it to look at 20 lbs from now Wink and keep it up!

Sanhador, congrats on the weightloss!!!  That was very smart picking up the dumbbells and running with them, yes that makes a HUGE difference. Way to go and keep posting so we know how you are doing.

SpeedKnight, congrats on your races.

SpeedKnight, congrats on your races.

Thanks, but, alas, they were only training runs.  My next PLANNED race is in June.  We'll see how things go when I'm in the zone due to a competitive spirit!

I needed to vent some steam today, so I set out on a run with ZERO intention of moving at a "conversational pace."  No, not at all.  Still, I had no idea what was going to happen, except that I would run for 35 minutes.  That all changed when my RunKeeper app chimed in for my 1 mile update: "Time, 9 minutes, 34 seconds.  Distance, 1 mile.  Average pace, 9 minutes, 34 seconds, per mile.  Current speed, 7 point 0 miles, per hour."  I thought to myself, "9:34?!?  Oh, it is ON!  Sub-30, you're mine!!

I did it: 3.66 miles in 35:07!!
