Nice job Rob.

Christina: bummer about the weather, but sounds like you had a great race and a great learning experience.

Congrats to Chris, Linda, David, Doug, and Sam.

I guess it will be a while before I get my RR up.  We've got 2 grandkids visiting through Sunday and quiet time at the PC is going to be hard to come by.

They did post the race results and my final time was 2:35:59.   It turns out that I somehow managed to do the run in 46:11.    That's a one minute PR on my 10K stand alone run time.   Needless to say, I'm very happy with that time and now wondering how fast I can do a 10K.

That's awesome, Dan! Congratulations, and find yourself a 10K race!!

Great job this weekend, racers! I've been following along but unable to post due to the needs of two tired kids recovering from a busy trip to Grandma's. Lots of great results, I look forward to catching up on the race reports!!

RR should be up today. Race finally posted splits.Question - I am getting older and my body stiffer with age. Now that I am focusing on my running I have more time for strengthand yoga stuff. Any favorites out there with the group? It seems to be more of a focus for some this year. I hope to get in three classes a week.

Hey Sam.. The hot yoga seems to be very popular in this neck of the woods. Strength training is best set up by a professional who can assess your needs. Everyone needs different areas to give them the best overall conditioning and fitness.  I know it is a cliche but "No two people are the same."

He lives around here doesn't he?  I think he blew by me on Pea Ridge the other day looking very sexy in his K-Swiss kit.

Hey everyone,  I know Trevor hit the road on Sunday and I fly out Thursday morning.  Today and tomorrow are going to be filled with cleaning, packing, errands, etc. but I wanted to make sure I took the time to say thank you to all of you for all your support and love over the years.  I joined this group in 2007 just after  completing my first super sprint.  That was such a huge accomplishment at that time in my life.  But the best part is the group was/is as supportive for that first race as they are for me now.  I"m sure I'll be thinking of you at different points throughout the day and I will be very anxious to report back.   Take care and talk to you soon.

Glad you are OK -- and have to share the weirdest. At around 11pm last night, we heard (in our sleep-ish state) a noise (tree falling?) and then felt an earthquake here. Dave said, "We are having an earthquake." I woke up and felt the bed shaking slightly -- adrenaline starts flowing (I had an extra kid here and one of my kids was gone -- don't like not having my babies during a potentially scary natural disaster).

We lived in the Bay Area long enough to know earthquakes. I double-checked to make sure what we felt wasn't Trip shaking the bed while he scratched or something -- he was about 3 feet away from the bed fast asleep. We were both wound up so turned on the TV to see what the magnitude was. No earthquake coverage. Odd. Turned on the radio. No earthquake coverage. Odd. I got up this morning and immediatly went to the Seattle Times website -- no earthquake coverage. Odd. Huh. We must have both semi-dreamed the whole thing.

Dave found this so peculiar he googled earthquakes and found there was one in Colorado around 11:40pm last night (first one in a bunch of years, like 100's?). And then today's in DC. He said there haven't been any other earthquakes reported in the US recently.

WTF?? Isn't that weird?? Granted, I would not have thought earthquake had he not told me we were having one (I was asleep), but then I was sure I felt the bed shaking slightly. Power of suggestion, I guess. Maybe my husband has some weird tectonic plate sensors embedded in his brain...
