PS - the next time JD shows up in here, tell him I hate him because he does not like cheesecake.

That is all.

Now that's not very nice!

Why you be hatin' on cheesecake?

I find it absolutely grotesque.  Really.  Everyone else in my family likes it - i hate it.  We go to the Cheesecake Factory and I get apple crisp.

You fail my "dogs and cheesecake" test. Every guy I date must like both dogs and cheesecake. If he does not like one or the other, there is something wrong with him, and he is unworthy

bcart1991 - 2008-07-30 1:37 PM Actually, I think I'm transitioning back into bachelorhood decently well. Not that anything really gets me wurked up...

Nope.. not until you have a drunken meaningless one night stand with a girl who's name you don't know...

I never had a one night stand in the true definition....  Close, but nope....

I feel like I'm missing out on something...

Nevr had a one-night stand in the true sense. As in `met a girl at a bar, took her home, then made her do the walk of shame the next morning.'

What is the "true" definition. Do you have to not know their name?

I always thought is was:

  1. Didn't know her previously (or at least were not friends - maybe saw her before, but that's it)
  2. Go ALL the way that very night.
  3. Don't really call or hookup again.

Maybe my definition is tighter than others.

Spokes - 2008-07-30 2:15 PM Ok, I got a new cell phone and a new contract with AT&T. Goodbye Evil Sprint!

sprint has been good to me - don't mind them.  they have the fewist reception problems here in the valley.  I can get a signal when most can't.

Nah, I was just curious. I don't really know the perameters. I agree that item #2 must happen though - otherwise, it's a hook-up. And the absence of #3 would make it more than "1-night", so...

Whoa now...I think we are venturing into dangerous territory here.

Um, so, yeah cell phone plans. I have Verizon and while I pay more than I should for the minimum number of minutes, that I don't use, their coverage is good.

PS - the next time JD shows up in here, tell him I hate him because he does not like cheesecake.

OK - we will go on two dates (must ask wife's permission first, so plan may be shot from the start).  At the first one I will not eat Cheesecake and you will totally want me.  At the second one i will eat cheesecake and throw up on the table.  I am pretty sure you would like the first date better.

Mind you, I don't have a problem with others eating cheesecake, I just don't eat it.  We went to a dinner where they had chocolate dipped cheesecake - i carefully ate the chocolate off and my wife ate the cheesecake.  I think you are missing tthat in your testing  - a man not liking cheesecake at an affair when the desert is supplied means tht you get two pieces of cheesecake.

I'm not really sure of the etymology of the phrase, to be honest - didn't really ever think about what the "stand" means. Cuz I'm all innocent and such.

Some people (like my SO) thinks that getting to third base is a ONS - therefor I'm GUILTY.  I think not..... (but she's just trying to bring me to her level to cover a mistake)
