WOW.  Outstanding job on the post padding as well as the running!

My body's not playing nicely right now but I did manage to get something that sort of resembled a run in today.

In related news, the joints in my fingers and toes are really swollen and painful (and blue) today so I'm afraid I will have to leave the secondary challenge fun for another day as typing is not helping (well, at least not with my fingers, have not yet tried typing with my toes....

You have far too many subjects that would gladly bow at your toes feet for the opportunity to type for you...I'm just not one of them...I am a minion in a different kingdom...

Phillies win game four.  They are going to the NLCS to compete against the Dodgers.  This will be a repeat from last year.

CHALLENGE UPDATE!

It's Sunday evening, and here's your challenge update!
The CURRENT CHALLENGE STANDINGS are: 1st place - Show Us Your Ghoulies - 37.2% 2nd place - Crypt Keepers - 34.9% 3rd place - E.V.I.L. Running Reapers - 30.6% 4th place - Running Pumpkins - 29.7% And in the SECONDARY CHALLENGE: (Because you KNOW there's always a secondary POST PADDING challenge!).... Well, what can I say? It's STILL Show us your Ghoulies by a landslide. (Is anyone truly surprised?) BUT it's only October 11th, so RUN RUN RUN (or I'll taser you). From Challenge Central, this has been your weekly Team Standings update. - Dee

Ran 3.9 miles in very light drizzle today ,  first rain here in months . I liked it .  Just had to watch for slippy pavement.

Donskiman - 2009-10-11 9:41 PM 34.9% is right where we all should be at this point in the month. Good job if you're there. If we can keep it up we'll all hit 100% and wind the challenge.

There are 2 people listed on our team spreadhseet with nothing logged. Does this count against us?
No, it doesn't count against you. You'll notice there are no numbers there at all, so they aren't used in calculating the "Team average." The blank lines were people who signed up for the challenge, but never entered a goal or who had to withdraw due to illness/injury. Your team average is only calculated using the numbers appearing in the "Run Percent Completed" column. And yes, 35% is exactly on target to meet your goals.

Hey, since these people have no goals and have met their challenge by achieving no goals, it looks like they should be at 100%. :-)

I told the PT's that I felt I was about ready to try some easy running this weekend but they weren't nearly as enthusiastic about this idea as I was; they'd like to add it into my routine so as to be "in a controlled environment". I know I need to be patient but I'm disappointed.

A little over 10 miles today. The weather is still on the cool side. It's supposed to be much warmer tomorrow. I'll have to run early tomorrow because I have to start the bowel prep for a colonoscopy on Thursday at noon.

Will they allow you to use a treadmill as a controlled environment?  When my hips act up and I have to lay off for a bit I try to get the first run back on a treadmill with no incline and a bit slower than my usual pace for maybe 1-2 miles max.
