Unfortunately he has been getting them since age 30 (actually admitted on his 30th bday...at least he got some good drugs) this was our 4 th ER trip with the last being 7-8 yrs ago. Just hard to manage at home if he can't keep anything down. My college age daughter also has them...got her first and thus far only after Cross Country season as a Junior in HS! Glad it's a new week!!KOM - 2010-02-15 6:29 PM Hola Huggers! It's been an interesting on call weekend indeed. Too many pages on Sat but I got an 8 mi run in- just interrupted off the dreadie every 5-30 minutes. Squeezed in a swim (love goal) on Sunday afternoon....then spent from midnight to 6 am in the ER with my hubby as he tried to pass yet another kidney stone....then the pager started going off again at 9 this morning. Between calls and taking care of the hub I was ALMOST shut out of the pool again.....but not quite! Did enough to make it count for the goal. Teaching a spin class tonight from 7:30-9. Doing Jorge's wk 8 q3 (4 x 12.5' intervals at increasing watts) as all NOLA Mardi Gras stuff, then I plan to collapse. No office hours tomorrow yay! Hoping to get in 4 swims this week so I will have only 1 left for the last week of the month. That was some weekend. How's the kidney stone situation? One of my coworkers had one, and said the pain was worse than being in labor.... |

Dear Erica's Kids, You all need to get healthy, so you can stop going to doctors all the time. Wait, you were eating junk WHILE watching Biggest Loser? I'm off to take Liam to the doctor for his follow up appt. Then a long trainer ride while watching Biggest Loser. Better than last week when I ate a ton of crap while watching the show! Kind of funny. I am also starting my weight loss quest today. I need to drop at least 5 pounds. Today is the day! Yeah, my kids are very rarely healthy at the same time. But, Liam's appt got pushed off until tomorrow. I'm sure he's fine. Yeah, I watched the last episode of Biggest Loser while shoveling crap in my pie hole. It kind of made me giggle really. I was chowing while they were burning all those calories. But, I hit the trainer hard today. Got my 1:30 ride done while they sweated too. Then Alex and I did some yoga. Harder than it looks! Ooo, after that, I showered and then headed out to get a bunch of junk food cause today is Fat Tuesday. I totally forgot about it! So, tomorrow starts day 1 of my lose 5 pound initiative. You know, start of Lent and all. Goes hand and hand with suffering! |

It was crowded at the gym so I couldn't get in the distance that I wanted to but I got in my 35 minutes. Shall we keep each other honest this Lenten season?? My church only has an 11:30 mass today and I can't make that. I guess I'll have to do some looking to find another church to go to. |

Well, 30 minutes turned into an hour and a half and I only woke up cause the phone rang. So, my plan to be out the door by 2:00 didn't quite happen. But, I made a mad dash and was out by 2:30. Phew! Negative split the run too (not hard when my first mile was an 11:50ish). Still not sure on the new shoes though... |

Just under 4.5 miles in the new shoes. for the most part I like them....did get some numbness in the toes so I will check the tightness of the laces for my next run. I should have hit 6 miles but was just too tired! As for today I was supposed to teach a cycle class but someone else showed up to teach...so I let her and just took the class! Wish I would have taught, lots of climbing with hard tension, so knees are not too happy! Taught 2 water classes and yoga, didn't get my laps in at the Y but still have to teach at Brookfield tonight 1 more water class and then I will do swim drills. Have a great night all! |

So I went to bed at 5:30 and watched the Olympics all night. I usually struggle with fasting because I love to eat so much! I don't know what was going on but I felt like crud last night. Feeling better this morning though. How'd it go for you? Did you make it to church? |

Expert 1246 West Grove, PA | Subject: RE: Hugs - February Challenge Good morning, Huggies! It looks like everyone has turned the corner on the winter blues and we're all in a "better place". Here in PA, we may actually break the 40 degree mark for the first time in a month and a half. I got a little drainer ride in this morning and will take a pass on the lunchtime workout. Back on the treadie tomorrow morning! I know it's only Thursday, but does anyone have any exciting plans for the weekend? I'm looking forward to a neighborhood "night out" on Saturday with dinner, bowling, bar-hopping and karaoke. I only hope that I remember how to interact with adults! It feels like it's been 100 years since our last social outing. I hope I don't inadvertently start cutting up into bite-sized pieces the dinner of the person sitting next to me... "no dessert for you unless you eat your vegetables!" Happy Training!!! |

With the day I had, by the time supper rolled around, I was strangely not hungry. Still wasn't after the run. Finally had a pb sandwhich at 9:00 with some graham crackers. And of course, did the whole before and after weigh in - lost 3.6 pounds in one day today I feel tapped and only did a 1.5 mile "run" and then did some hill type stuff --- all on the treadmill. total was 2.25 miles. Oh well. and I really want some chips. and a beer. Hell, mexican sounds good, but that would blow the whole deal, and my wife doesn't want to go! |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: Hugs - February Challenge Have some good news today. 1-Got in a good workout last night and weighed in for the week. Down 2.8 pounds. First real lose this year. Excited about that. 2-Went to the eye doctor this morning and things look good. Forgot to ask so had to call back and ask if I can get back to running and swimming. Ok to run but need to wait another week on the swim. I'm going to try to squeeze in a run between work and my sons concert tonight. If I get a run in tonight I will be caught up with my goal for the month and Saturday's long run will put me ahead. 3-I also got my social security card in the mail yesterday so after the doctor this morning I took some time to go in and renew my drivers license. I am now a legal person and can prove it. So I drove straight to the HR office and should them my ID so I can continue to work. Really excited to have that off my to do list. Unlike others, I am not having a problem spending too much time in the office this week (didn't make it in until noon today). I might have to put some time in on Saturday to get things finished up though. |

You'd think she's be SOME help with the kids, but she really just makes more work. My husband has worked late every day and last night one daughter had a gushing, bloody nose ALL over her bed and the other peed her bed. Ugh. I have my annual performance review tomorrow at work so this hasn't been the best week to take longer workout lunches either. I'm struggling to get any exercise in week. Grrrr..... Can you tell I'm getting grumpy? And I need to bring cupcakes to work tomorrow for a stupid office bd party. At least the girls had fun making (and tasting) chocolate cupcakes tongiht! Off to make their beds, brush teeth and hopefully not fall asleep with my little angels so I can watch some Olympics on the trainer tonight. |
