Why do I KEEP thinking I have to swim today?  I'm going insane.  Today is a bike day and I can't get that through my head.  Probably a dozen times I asked myself how I was going to get my swim in, and then remember I don't have to swim.

I'm a more on.

lisac957 - 2012-11-06 2:41 PM I voted-ed! Only about an hour in line.
Home and back in 15 minutes round trip. But I'm only 1.5 miles from my polling place.

I walked to my mailbox sometime... about 2 weeks ago.

It took me nearly 1.5 hours this morning. Such is the price we pay to exercise our freedom to vote!

1.5 hour wait while drinking you Caramel Machiatto, reading Sports Illustrated, and playing games in your smart phone...oh, the horrors!

Actually I spent nearly the whole time trying to figure out which line I was supposed to be in and emailing my boss. I was in the wrong line and didn't get anything done because my internet connection with my boss was shaky.

I like my Kindle app on my phone.  Let's me read during all those former "wait around bored moments".  Typically when the wife is just "stepping inside for a second" in that shoe store, or waiting for her "this will only take 5 minutes" audition to end.

I did not know that "just 5 minutes and just a second" was code for 45 minutes or longer.

I voted in Oak Ridge perhaps for the last time.  This city is really big on making voting efficient and well-run.  This means, among other things, lots of polling places, poll workers, and plenty of voting machines.  I waited less than 10 minutes.

Next time I will probably be residing in La Follette.  Let's just say that La Follette likes things done the old-fashioned way.

The voting place is on the border of two Chicago precincts so they have separate voter rolls. I just walked over and butted in line in front of an old lady. What was SHE gonna do?

I voted early, absentee, before work, during work, during lunch and am thinking of going after work.

Too bad my dad and uncles all voted for the other guy.

Eat them in the back seat and leave the mess for others. Taco redistribution.

Is it weird I wanted to keep who I was voting for from my wife?

I don't know why, probably somethign I learned from my parents when they didn't tell ME who they voted for when I asked as a little kid, but I think it's a personal thing.

She kept asking because if I was going to vote for "the other guy" and cancel hers out, she would not vote if I promised not to vote.  I guess I could have agreed and then voted anyway and score one for my team mwahahahahaha!

Oh ours must be fancy. They give you a code when you sign-in that says your precinct and the election official inputs the code into the magic voting box. Just one line!

Well I spent another nice evening with let us call her Miss A last night.

Had a nice dinner at my house and sat in the hot tub for 30 mins or so.

Sat around and had a good conversation. We are staying on the down low but a friend of mine did get to meet her last night. She was stuck without internet out on her farm and came to town to use mine and finish up her homework for teachers college.

Kind of shocked her that I had a friend over. But by the end I was watching football by myself while they were gabbing away.
