fattyfatfat - 2011-09-03 3:46 PM how did it go on the C&O?

It went ok, the soft surface allowed me to jog comfortably while alternating walking/jogging. Cautiously optimistic : )

Redknight - 2011-09-03 3:36 PM completed my sprint and super sprint today. Not going to do that again. Thought I had a decent first race ...time 2:11 I think. and the second one not so good at about 51 minutes. Had nothing in the tank for the second race. Got a little medical assistance after the second one. It was so hot and muggy. Especially for the sprint. The sun was just beating down on us with no shade and no wind. Humidity was very high and we got a thunderstorm downpour after the second race. I could have used that on the super sprint run. RR to come later oce I can look up my stats. I din't bothr checking as I only had an hour and a half between races and had to pump myself full of stuff for race 2. I'm sure I didn't podium in either race. Just hoping I wasn't DFL.
Going to refuel now and lie down for a well deserved nap.
Later
Oh yeah very nice race Jayne.

Rob,

Two races in one day???  You're superman.  Hopefully you got your medical assistance from a very attractive young nurse.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend.  You deserve it.!

Now I'm awake.   Rough week - dad's surgery, Jeff gone all week, Zach trying to aclimate to HS without flunking out and WHILE running 5 minute miles. for 10 hours per week.   Gotta beat mom & dad.

11 weeks of training yet.  My sleep study shows need for change.  My drug review shows needs for new drugs.  My 18 year old shows need for me to get my as*on a plane monday to straighten him out.  My 22 year old, bless her, is doing great. My 15 year old needs a reality check.  He's got 3 more years of support - he needs to pull his head out a make plan.

IMAZ is looking easy right now.  The next 3 years, not so much.

No wonder after doing two triathlons in one day.   Get some extra sleep time and a good massage.  You earned it.
