I've got 54 on the schedule for the rest of the month, so if I can keep myself healthy, I'll be at 109 for the month! What kind of math do they teach you buckeyes? I've got 105 by my Hawkeye math, but a respectable total none the less. |

Extreme Veteran 396 Peachtree City, GA | Subject: RE: July 100+ Running Challenge! Abear2 - 100 miles - 48.57 complete I am having issues with my hamstring and knees...I hope I can finish out the challenge, but I have found it necessary to take a few days off from running here and there to give my legs a chance to recover. Kelly PS I know there are others that are doing more than 100 miles, but it seems kinda redundant to post my percentage if I my goal is 100 miles. don't ya think? Cycling is by far the easiest of the three sports and the most fun! Of course I haven't ridden either of my bikes at all this month ..... ;-P maybe it's the 1985, 30 pound schwinn that i'm toting around as my bike, or the maryland hills that are bigger than they look, or the fact that i'm a scooter runner and have no quad muscles built up yet for biking...i don't know, but i definitely don't like biking. i think it's mostly a fear of getting a flat out in the middle of nowhere. running shoes can't go flat if i run on glass. i did my long run on one of my bike routes today, and i actually preferred running the hills rather than biking them...i think that's my sign. but i'll still push through and keep on chugging. topped over 70 with a run this morning, followed up by a big glass of grape juicy juice. |
