Imagine if some brave legislators decided they were going to do something meaningful, like shut shut down the govt., because they didn't like a piece of legislation.  How 'knee-jerk' would THAT be!?

As opposed to the other news outlets that are soaked in unbiased journalism.

I'm not even sure I'd know what to do if I found a truly unbiased news channel.  I'd probably still call it biased because it was so unbiased.  lol

btw, you guys should like Fox coming over to the dark side.  :-D  

First you'd have to find a channel that actually reports the news, as opposed to biased talking heads rattling off partisan catch phrases that exist now.  But you have to admit, if you just read that headline, whose website would you assume it's from?  And does it not bother you? I know it's just rhetoric, but when have you ever heard the phrase "gunned down".  When a clear-cut bad guy shoots the good guy or an innocent victim.  I've never heard it used to describe police justifiably shooting someone who had attacked, injured, and attempted to kill several other officers.  In fact, they have another headline asking was "Deadly force justified on Capital Hill?"  The answer is yes.  No debate, just yes.  She tried to run over police, shoot her.  Sounds to me like Foxnews is going soft.

I'll tell you a little something, but you have to swear to ABSOLUTE secrecy; I 'sometimes' have to turn off MSNBC cuz they're even too Liberal for ME!  But if you repeat this, I'll flatly deny it and call you a Socialist (unless, you're into that kind of thing, then, I'll call you for dinner)

I'd say I don't hear the term "gun downed" very often.  I'm trying to even remember the last time I heard it used on either side.  I personally don't like the term to describe either side of a shooting.

I do remember watching Fox News a week or two ago and they were interviewing the model lady who was hit by a cabbie and lost her leg in NYC.  The interviewer was blabbing away and asked her if she remembered getting "mowed down by the cabbie" or something to that effect.  I did the ole WTF look at the insensitivity of his comment.

As long as you don't tell anyone that I rarely watch any news channels anymore for the same reasons, your secret is safe with me.  

I don't mind the "hard news" shows on any of the channels CNN, MSNBC, or Fox News, but it's tough for me to watch any of the talking head shows anymore because they just make my head hurt.
