for more fun, at the end of the show, if you can, pause the show and read the "Chuck Lorre Thoughts" which is the final white screen with a bunch of writing on it.  Pretty funny.

Chuck has been doing this for all of his shows.... I first saw it with "Dharma and Greg" in the late 90's.   He does it for Two-and-a-Half Men as well.

Big fan of Big Bang. Also enjoy Two and a Half Men ( I'm glad to see Chelsea go). Was a fan of HIMYM, but going stale. Last two were better, but losing steam.

I saw some episodes while on a cruise.  maybe from the first couple seasons or so.

to be honest, one of the worst shows I ever had to sit through.  Non funny jokes with horrible laugh track.  One was when the SUPER nerdy guy got the flu, and one that lives with his mother was impersonating her on the phone in some terrible New York Jewish accent...  At that time, I thought it was probably canceled because WHO could think it was funny.

BUT, it seems to still be popular.  Maybe it's gotten better after the first season or two?  Or I just "don't get it".  But I see what's funny about all the other popular shows (office, 30 Rock, etc).

Maybe I should give it another shot.

This is my favorite scripted show.  I'm an engineer so the jokes hit home alot for me.  I think Penny looks better now.  There seemed to be something always off about her before.

I must be missing something.  I saw a couple of the early episodes when traveling and I thought it was terrible.  I thought it was canceled, to be honest.

Jokes that were so lame they couldn't even make me smile, much less laugh, and a terrible laugh track...  Maybe they were first season episodes and they didn't have it figured out yet.

As much as I love the show, I agree about the laugh track.  I normally tune it out on everything I watch that it doesn't register.  One episode, where I kept noticing it, drove me nuts.

Read in an article in the WSJ last week that the show is shot in front of a live audience.

Yup, just down the street from me at Warner Brothers Studio.  I took my mom to see a taping of the show when she came to visit.
